I agree, but it's a bad start. Why is his exempt from criticism but Kane's isn't?

He's earned that reputation.

Don't get me wrong. I like the strides he has taken to try and shred it, but it hasn't been anywhere near long enough where "just you wait" isn't warranted.

He also does have to start producing. Cox is right, which is a rarity. He's been good, but Tyler Myers has been far and away the best player in this trade so far and it isn't even close (Key word, here, being "so far").

- buffalofan19

Oh my.

And for the stat nerds who claimed Myers would never be a "bus driver" in the posession department, after 6 games (I know, only 6) he leads the blue line in relative Corsi

its quite common for a player who thought he had a chance to make the NHL go back to Junior and get off to a slow start. I could care less what he does this year, I saw what he did in camp and pre season and i am definetly excited for his future in winnipeg.

You better watch out he might cry and female dog and asked to be moved at the deadline

I'm indifferent to them claiming ramo because it's free but i don't think he'll play well enough to be converted into a trade asset. Probably just keep him and waive johnson?
- Sabresfan-365

Maybe they can keep him and trade Johnson. It's not like Johnson has played badly for us. And he has had a good season behind a stout Bruins defense. If a team gets into a situation where they need a back up and have a solid D in place, he could be a decent option for them.

I would say Kane has more of an excuse especially considering he's coming off season ending major shoulder surgery and is on a new team with players he's never played with before.

But hey...what do I know...

- HonkFortheGoose

I'm sorry guys, but Kane will disapoint you. The bottom line is he is not a smart hockey player!! He can skate, hit and work hard but he lacks hockey sense and because of this he will never reach the potential people place on him. He scores most of his goals when he has no time to think and can just react by banging home a rebound or one timing a quick pass. I'm not even getting into his off ice stuff, this is purley judging his on ice. As soon as Kane loses a step his career is done, he will not be playing into his thirties.

Hmmm...He was ahead of Chariot last game, and Pardy has only played in 1 game I think

I have to imagine these stats fluctuate a lot in the early part of the season.

Shame he doesn't have anyone who can set him up for that...

I hope so. Would like an excuse to leave work early on Friday.

I really, really want to see the Mets win today, just given the whole Back to the Future thing.

They do. But he was apparently a "4th or 5th defensemen" according to guys like Yost, or Coller.

I think it's safe to say that the Sabres as a whole was the majority of the reason his advanced numbers were so poor.

I like Ramo. I dont see the point in holding back on this free pickup. UFA at end of season.

AT WORST he sits on the bench and is an insurance policy for Johnson and later on Lehner. AT BEST he becomes the starter and GMTM looks like a genius

I'm just thinking this is about as easy as it gets... cause if Johnson goes down are we riding Liewen for 6-8 weeks?

Their playoff success and now struggle is a microcosm of just how overrated anthopolous is.

Not to beat this dead horse again, but Myers needed out of Buffalo as much as Buffalo "needed" to trade him. It's the classic change of atmosphere scenario.

Same folks (not coller but yost, burtch etc.) conveniently ignored this when the sabres signed franson and thought he would shelter Risto.

They remind me of the 06-07 Sabres. They were really good, but ultimately one dimensional. Once a team figured them out, they couldn't figure out another way to win.

This pretty much hits the nail on the head. A free insurance policy that expires at the end of the season if you dont like the product.

Bang on. Murray should grab him and he's foolish if he doesn't.
