Is Chad Johnson the new starting goalie?

Not just tonight, but he has been good so far.

He should get first star after the OT performance.

*EDIT* Maybe he deserved it before that point, but I missed the first period and a chunk of the second.

Gotta give him credit. The only Leaf goal was a flukey tip/bounce.

The goal was a complete fluke, not his fault in any way, he was pretty solid tonight

I managed to catch a replay of that goal, and I agree.

It just didn't look like Johnson was getting much work for the parts of the game I saw. But he had a handful of impressive stops on what looked like sure goals during the OT.

Agree on McCabe.
- gcomella34

Other than Pysyk trying to give away the game with 5 secs left, McCabe and him were by far the best D pair on the ice. Franson's skating makes his partner (Weber) look like eichel. Those two shouldn't be together although other than one Weber turnover they were okay,

They're getting sheltered minutes but they have looked good. Hopefully continue to get better.

Also Johnson is looking better and better, just need someone other than Lieuwen backing him up.

My post about Konecny had nothing to do with the Kane trade.

You made a straw man argument and listed a few busts that had successful junior careers. I provided an example of a good player who succeeded in juniors.

- sbroads24

You're the one who brought Kane into it. Were you referring to him being the good player? Who's the good player you're referencing? I'm not being sarcastic. If so, I totally misinterpreted it, and that's my bad, but a lot of people don't refer to Kane in a positive light around here.

Ullmark had another pretty good night despite terrible D from what i read. Might be worth giving him a shot.

I wouldn't be so quick to dismiss Lieuwen to be honest. I think he could surprise a lot of people.

I feel like this win shouldn't have been so hard to get. One goal against Toronto is a bit worrisome, IMO.

Not really, Toronto played pretty well. They're getting the looks, just need to finish.

Not gonna lie, I loved when Kane ran Phaneuf over. I wouldn't have cared even if he did get called for a penalty. Totally worth it.

I agree, our offense should be scoring more.
