Not a cup contender but they have made it to the conference finals three of the last four years.

Listen, I get that you hate the Rangers, but when you state stuff like that you come off ignorant, especially when you state Columbus and Florida are on the Rangers level. You come off even more ignorant stating Montreal is that much better when, in fact, they rely more on Price than the Rangers do on Lundqvist.

Can't deny they are competitive they just can't seem to get over the hump in the post season. It seems when it is need it most they can't get that big goal. But the Rangers are competitive for sure. Ranger fans in general tend to hype their team so it probably just evokes a knee jerk reaction from some people. I wouldn't see much more in it than that.

I am not one to overhype, been a fan of this franchise for way too long to be naive. That particular poster always seems to have an obtuse opinion of the Rangers and spouts off insane and flat out untrue statements. Never stated the Rangers are clearly the best team in hockey. But plenty of Ranger haters, like the poster I responded to, never give them crtedit despite being at the top of the contender list for the last three or four years.

Actually, so far this season, Montreal is much better than Rangers in every conceivable stat, normal every day and fancy stats alike. They are not just relying on Price so far this season.

Montreal may be a different team this year. So far it looks like Therrien may have actually adapted.

Two weeks in although you are right. Montreal is the class of the league right now. But if you think they would be as stout with just any goalie, and not the best goalie in hockey, you're not seeing the bigger picture. Montreal, if it weren't for Price, could have easily lost opening night against Toronto and Saturday against Detroit.

You're tellin me. I'm stuck in a 14 man league and drafted Andre Johnson in the third. I'm actually excited that I get to play Christine Michael...
- Victoro311

I'm actually set on WR's though.. Odell Beckham, Keenan Allen, Allen Robinson, Jarvis Landry and Tavon Austin in a PPR 12 man league. I also have Dalton, Bortles and Tannehill manning down the QB. I'm trying to trade Tavon Austin and a QB/ or + a TE for a decent back to get by for this week. Wish me luck

I also have Randle in my other league, picked up Christine in both leagues.. so, at least I'll be set if he takes over

Hopefully not. Montreal would be nearly unbeatable with a good team in front of Price on top of his game. Overall I don't like Montreal's forward depth very much. The defense and top 6 should be strong though.

I bought the Melvin Gordon hype also. He looks like he has played himself out of the line up, Brandon Oliver is starting this week.

Yeah 4 fumbles in 6 games will do it. I spent a late 3rd rounder on him, but with their O-line decimated by injuries and the Chargers being a pass happy team his production really isn't all his fault. Fumbles are all on him though. I'm just happy I snagged Keenan Allen in the 6th

If it makes you feel better I cut Devonte Freeman

My buddy traded Rivers and Freeman for Peyton Manning and Cody Latimer after week 2. I told him trading for noodle arm Manning was a bad idea, didn't know it would back fire THAT bad

Yeah and it sucks too because I live in Eastern Canada and the majority of the population, including pretty much all my friends, are Habs fans. I have not heard the end of 6-0.

If they're not Habs fans, they're either Leafs or Bruins fans....gross.

We have an office in CGY. They are all either EDM or CGY fans up there. Until McDavid, the EDM fans acted like the junior leagues were better hockey than the NHL. They always had a BS excuse for not watching.....but now they dont shut up about EDM's future. They also won't admit that most of them are willingly paying a stupid premium to watch EDM in years past despite a terrible product on the ice.

You could/should have won 2 years ago. Last year less of a chance but still there. This year & going forward is what I'm talking about. You named this years team players not past players, so now above your talking about past teams & players.

Your argument skills are on par with 'park ranger', which is not a good look for you! Pick a comment & stick with it.

Going forward as was my comments inference, IF the BJ's get their D sorted they will be a very good team. Florida is 'becoming' a very good team - they are heading in a different direction from you guys! From what I've seen 'this' year, you guys have relied on the King more than the Habs on Price in my opinion.
