I agree that they will continue to improve and yes its a tad early to judge but teams that draft around 8 still compete fairly deep into march/april.
i'm just comparing us to the other teams that would be below us.

I think Bogosian is going to look great because of his size and speed. Do they have the guts to take out Franson? I haven't minded Weber's play so far.

You'll never convince most people on this site because Weber has developed a whipping boy status, but on the whole his play all season has been very solid and reliable.

The Bills problems are easy to dissect tough to solve:

Offense: Tyrod has been as good as we possibly could have expected. Injuries have decimated this unit couple with a very average offensive line. If Watkins and McCoy were healthy this year, this unit would have been very good.

Defense: The players haven't got worse from last year (arguably with Darby, you can say they have gotten better). The obvious problem is the scheme and the fact the players haven't bought into it. Dropping Kyle or Mario into coverage is plain stupid and when your best players are your front four you don't use them to eat up blockers to allow you "average" LBs to pursue the QB/stop the run. They went from an attacking front 4 to a 2 seem passive front 4. idiotic, especially considering how Darby and Gilmore have played.

ST: No idea what has happened here? New coach, much worse of performance. Injuries may have hurt the depth of this. cutting Thigpen and Gay doesn't make a whole lot of sense to me, either??

I'm actually surprised to still see Reinhart with Ennis and O'Reilly, figured he'd swap them around too and people complain rather than it just be more of what's been going on.

No personnel moves the Bills make ever make any sense.

Send two picks to Minny for Cassel. Cassel plays ok in pre-season, cut him, re-sign him, trade him for a fifth rounder.

Again another poorly thrown ball he had to make an adjustment for that reinjured his already screwed up leg. As soon as I saw him plant to come back to the ball I knew he hurt himself.

Manuel sucks end of story.

What's sad is 2 plays before the INT I was thinking how strong Manuel's throws were looking. Then the next play was bad and the following play was the long INT...ugh
