Please do not use edmonton as an example of what you should do with high draft picks who don't immediately turn out.
Edmonton is poop on a hair, you don't want to go there. Also buffalo had traded for nhl players like kane and traded highly regarded youngsters like myers.
Your better then this.

- Pres.cup

Point is we're not close to trading a player who can become very serviceable and has barely played professional hockey. If anything the Sabres would do it for a decent defenseman and I can't see it happening.

Jagr has 79 pts fewer than Mess in 200 less games played. Jagr stays in NHL instead of going to KHL, hed already be #2.

Jagr was putting up 100 pt seasons in the mid to late 90's during the trap/clutch and grab era of hockey where it was tougher to score compared to the free flowing 80's.

- theblueandgold

Agreed, as much as i hate seeing the sabres lose Barkov is incredible and Jagr play along the boards is possibly the best ever.

Myers showed what he had over 365 games as a Sabre, Reinhart has had 13.

You could have at least done better by using Zadorov as an example.

He’s as close to NHL ready as anyone in the draft and his skills just bolster that.

Sam Reinhart has few issues with his game, if any. He will be in the NHL next season, it’s just a matter of which team in the top three will take a stab at him.

At this point, you’d have to consider Reinhart a slam dunk to make the jump to the NHL next year, the only question remains whether or not he winds up being the #1 pick which appears to be all his right now.”

Flaws/Aspects He Needs To Work On:

I haven’t noticed any flaws in Reinhart’s game. He’s as close to NHL ready as you can get.

Offensive: 10/10 Defensive: 3/10

These are all various scouting reports on Sam Reinhart before the 2014 NHL draft...

Clearly he has not lived up to the billing so far. I understand that hes still young but he was touted as the most NHL ready prospect in the entire draft and rated the best prospect in hockey. I think there is reason to be slightly concerned about his development so far

Reinhart honestly it's pointless to get in a debate about it there's many players like him that took longer to develop I can make an example like henrik sedin didn't break out until his late twenties then you have players like Ryan Johansen who were considered a bust then broke out two years later and look at mark Scheifele now I'm not worried

I can also make the case for Jonathan Drouin I wanted to trade for him so bad in the summer everyone said he had attitude problems is not that good I called you all crazy and now he's proving the critics wrong
