Saw a funny post about Bennett on Pensburgh:

"I think he hurt his back from carrying the team."

That about sums up how disappointing the forwards have been so far.

Theres a huge difference from being mad someone screwed your team by leaving them and chanting about rape. If you want to use Facebook and twitter as an account for classless fans I could go all day pointing out flyers fans calling for sid to die. At an actual game you need to act different than you do on social media.

You want other examples? Cheering whenever an opponent is hurt is a classic that seems to happen every single time I watch a flyers game. I saw the pens do it once and the other fans started booing those fans. I'm sorry but the flyers have made a name for themselves as classless.

Don't use rangers as your point. Don't they have the highest amount of fan fights at games?

I've been a season ticket holder for 5 years and the only time I ever saw them cheer for an opposing injury was when Letang got hurt, and I was actually yelling at people to stop cheering. The one that sticks out to me was the gasps and hush after the Richards hit on Booth. Not a single person thought of cheering as Booth was laid out unconscious. Also, I doubt you see a player injured "every single time you watch a Flyers game," so I don't know how that's possible.

But yeah, keep on beating that drum. Why don't you go make some "Bomb Boston" tweets. I mean, some Penguins fans did, which means they all did...right?

Again if you want to argue social media ill tell you all the times flyers fans told me "cindy should die" "cindy should get cancer and go away already". I understand why you're defensive dude but you need to accept that the flyers fans have a bad rap as classless fans and its mostly with good reason.

Dude, you were the one who brought up social media. Then you say that "Every time" you watch a Flyers game we cheer when someone's injured...aside from Letang, please enlighten me as to all of the games you've wacthed where this happens, or you're just beating an old drum and talking out of your ass.

Again, if you want to say Eagles fans, then you've got it. The problem is that the general public equates "Eagles" with "Philadelphia." Do Flyers fans get out of hand from time to time? Absolutely. Is it indicative of the general fan base? Not from my circle of friends and (most) other fans I know.

And right back at you and ZacO

Also: That last bit was actually sarcasm. I am able to realize that the actions of few are not indicative of the larger fan base.

theres a difference between not guilty and innocent.

i dont think he did it either, but just because he hasnt been arrested, doesnt mean he didnt do anything.

- SuperHenderson13

The logic behind this is mob mentality. If enough people believe it its ok to assume it as true? Thats a messed up way to think. And even if he is guilty its still classless to chant.

Every fan base has classless fans, it's definitely not just Philly fans.

Please stop bringing reasoning and logic here. We all know that every single Flyers fan is a heartless goblin who wishes nothing but pain and death upon every non-Philadelphia person on Earth.

Bennett won't be playing due to injury. In other slightly less surprising news, the sun will be setting in the west this evening...

I never once said every philly fan is classless. I said the fan base acted classless. Which they did. And have several times before.

With Bennett out tonight, maybe Sprong sees more than 10 minutes of ice time. Has he even sniffed 1st or 2nd line duty this season??

Except Hammond was expected to start due to Anderson playing last night.

But why let facts get in the way of your sarcasm.

I never said every fan. But you seem to enjoy putting words into my mouth.

Is it not classless to chant at a game about rape? thats what this comes down to.

Also do the flyers fans not have a reputation for doing things that are viewed as classless?

I absolutely know every fan base has bad fans. I'm the first to point out the bad ones for the pens. But it seems to be a common thing with philly to much it go a step further than normal jerk fans being jerk fans.

My sarcasm was strictly directed at Beau Bennett being injury prone. With the way the Pens forwards are playing, Sens don't need a goalie because Kessel and Bennett are the only two that have consistently generated SOGs anyway.

Sens D has been pretty weak in itself. They've been able to score goals in bunches but give up a lot of chances.

Right, and I never said you did, all I am saying is that EVERY fanbase has classless fans, Pittsburgh, Dallas, New York, Boston, every single team in the league of every sport has classless fans, and it's not because they are classless fans, its because they are scumbags as people. They are all over the world.
