Anybody else notice at one point during the game when Root put Errey/Ferraro on TV from between the benches Sid was on the end of the bench closest to them, and was talking with one of the Pens trainers/equipment staff while they were both looking at his left wrist. Beginning to wonder if Sid doesnt have the wrist injury bothering him from a couple years ago. Pretty sure Ryan did a writeup about it when 87s FO% fell off the face of the earth in the second half of whatever season it was. Would definitely explain his unwillingness to shoot/inability to lift the shot over price the other night, and lack of touch on his passes.

I saw that, but I think that was just some pain from a slash or something. Moments earlier I saw him skating to the bench with no gloves and checking his wrist, I think he may have been slashed or something and the trainers were just checking if everything was right.
I just think the problem with the first line is that they are too spread out and looking to score as soon as they enter the zone. Sometimes that's ok, but it feels the majority of chances they have they try and hurry the shot. Malkin's line was doing exactly the same, but yesterday they finally clicked and started doing their thing, supporting each other and crashing the net more often. Perron and Hornqvist played really well.
Also, I think that Porter played really well. Guy is not very good but definitely a major upgrade from anything we had last year. He can actually make plays and shoot the puck.
Doumolin looked really solid, he's not as shy anymore and his game is showing. Clendening played so much better than scuderi. I just hope MJ doens't bench him saturday for the penalties he took.
Did anybody notice that from the second period to the end of the game the Pairings were Maatta - Clendening and Doumolin - Lovejoy? I couldn't tell which was the second and which was the third pair.
