So how is everybody getting ready for the weekend. Didn't stop by last night or today, because I was livid at how the Rangers played.
- tomburton99

By Monday we can either be relieved or in big trouble, the next two games are all about how much do Kreider, Brass and Nash want to produce, of Kreider isn't gonna take the next step they have a decision to make

Not worried about Kreider. I saw in his face the frustration but also applaud his focus on the situation. He made a note of what happened. I expect him to play with controlled fury. Nash has had his chances but to be honest, offensively the Rangers have not done enough all year to sustain pressure in the offensive zone. They are, for the most part, an excellent counter-attack team, but as we've seen when the struggle in the playoffs and in the loss to Montreal, they have to be able to sustain play in the offensive zone and create multiple chances when they posses the puck. Too often this season they have a single chance, usually off the rush and then it is collected and sent out by the defending team.

All in all this still looks like a team trying to find their way. The D has struggled at times, and not just Boyle. Hank has been unusually great to start with and the offense is not consistent. I think they will get there, just like they have the last couple of years but there are going to be some bumps until AV figures the best way to deploy his roster.

The biggest concern is the PP. They've had some goo looks at times but have also had some god-awful moments. We need that unit to be much better all the way around.

Richards might beat Julien to the head of the unemployment line if they don't turn this around pretty quickly. A lot of expectations in Columbus and not playing well the last few games. Giving up way too many goals and that's not all on Bob.

Duclair may be off to a hell of a start in Arizona, but Hagelin and Talbot off to horrid starts with the Ducks and Oilers.

Hagelin's on the 4th line there apparently

Duclair and Domi will slow down. Hard for rookies, without any support in the lineup, to continue on as they are.

How about those Ducks, huh? Hagelin at four million per is horrendous; no other way to say it.

People were too quick to slag the deal, on the Rangers side of things, so I will wait to gloat about Etem until I see him paly consistently and produce some. But no matter what, I am glad the Rangers aren't stuck paying a legitimate bottom six winger four million dollars a season.

my only problem with the trade is I wish they had had the foresight to know that Etem would not have been able to be sent down to the AHL this season without passing through waivers, especially considering that Etem split the last two seasons between the Ducks and the AHL

Maybe they did think about it and thought he was a NHLer for good after his positive performance in the playoffs for the Ducks.

But, it would be nice to be able to send him down so he could play regularly right now

I think Etem can play everyday on this team now. Vigneault has to cut the bs out and play the kids. It's not like Glass and Stoll were contributing and bring more to the table than Etem and Fast.

Yandle has to play better, specifically in the offensive zone and on the rush. Defensively he's been fine.

he's gotta shoot.

He had 241 shots on goal in the 2013-14 season for the Coyote

6 shots after 5 games is not enough

I do want them to break up Nash on the Brassard line and Kreider on the Stepan line. Aside from Zuccarello nobody is getting ot done offensively on the top six.

Funny thing is Yandle has a good shot too. Needs to be more aggressive; stop deferring to players that aren't as skilled offensively as he is.

maybe the Oilers should consider sending McDavid back to juniors after 9 games before ruining another young potential superstar's career?

Sounds like he's indoctrinated himself right in to the Rangers, they know they need to shoot more but it's like a disorder
