we have the playoff Rick Nash in October, great chances and completely snake bitten

Chris Kreider is a slow starter, it's safe to characterize him as that at this point

Dan Girardi does look dreadful, I'll have to agree with that

they are taking too many stupid penalties and the powerplay is awful

the reality is that the Blackhawks and Blue Jackets are off to horrible starts, so hopefully they aren't still patting themselves on the back over the three wins.

Sunday is a must win already and it's game 6

So many shots that are soft and miss the net...it drives me crazy sometimes

Upset at losing ...always ,losing 2 in a row ...anger & frustration start to set in
Throw out the baby with the bath water......if we lose to Devils sunday we will have the baby adopted or left on the door step of the local hospital ..
Serious , its that time of year of .." who's livin off last yrs rep"
all start out with last yrs positives or negs as a measuring stick as to what u will do... if u had a strong season last well its expected to do the same or improve
if coming off injury or off year ...well its expected u show mass improvement or at the same skill level u were to build on
NYR hockey has played a lot of games late in the season with limited time off
as much as we start jonesin for a gm come sept the players know how long the grind is and how much it takes to produce...
A V has got to find out in next 5 gm or 1st 10 who his lineup is and stick with it for the next 10 gms.... i for one as frustrated as a 3-0 mont gm where A V announces .."we got schooled ".... u know the gauntlet has been dropped on teams foot by AV & staff ...
1st 20 gms will tell us all the answers ..
whos to old
whos not onna make the cut
whos the big surprise or next big surprise
I will bask in NYmets P O's to distract me but my heart & eye is on the challenges a NEW season brings and who will answer the bell being rung
I M O i see some upheavel in the peaking order of top teams in NHL
the top 10 has had some routine teams who aint lookin good ?.... yet
keep it in stride ",Lets go Mets "

McIlrath and Stoll should come back in with Boyle and Brass sitting, he must have worked in the face off circle and no where else, he's been lazy , a good scratch against a bad team is the answer, have Hayes Center Zucc and Miller

what's crazy about Brassard is if it's his off season wrist surgery that's bothering him, he is 61% on faceoffs this far this season, 50-31, you would think a wrist less than 100% would affect that the most.

He isn't shooting the puck though. He has a total 5 shots in 5 games, which is absurd

the game of his life was game 6 vs Tampa and he had 10 shots that game alone.

I think he'll stay in lineup sunday but he has to start shooting puck

I also love how everyone thinks that Price nailed Kreider. Kreider said after the game he had to turn away from the contact or they would have called a penalty on him. But keep thinking Price blew him up lol

I don't think anybody really thinks he blew him up. I think they're just seeing the irony in the play. Price completely fluffed it off as nothing. As for some fans, well.....you know how it goes.

Yea I guess the irony part makes more sense. It's mostly just rival fans stuff I was reading on the internet, didn't mean you guys on your thread or anything.

Oh, it's all good. No worries. I have to say, it was a pleasure watching those two goalies perform at that level.

If Montreal gets just decent offensive production this season, they should be making a deep run again. Price is that good

The 3-0 start was mostly a mirage, very little sustained offense and chemistry among the top lines. This is what happens when you run into a good team that doesn't hand you grade A chances. So glad AV realized the issue with Hayes at wing. Is Av also seeing the decline of Girardi? or did he drop down McDonagh instead? I couldn't tell but McDonagh-Boyle and McDonagh-Klein seemed to play ok.

The new lines from the 3rd should've been what started the season, why are we forcing Hayes to play wing. He sucked there in the preseason and the first 4 games to start, I hope that experiment is over. Thought that Miller might get bumped to Stepan's line but Nash works too.

Kreider-Stepan-Nash
Miller-Brass-Zucc
Lindberg-Hayes-Stalberg
Etem-Moore-Fast and a few games for Stoll

It's only been 4 games but our D across the board has been bad, it's been all Hank to keep things close and get those wins.

No panic yet, the league is upside down right now.

Teams like Florida, Arizona and San Jose are looking like the class of the league. Montreal does too but that was to be expected as their team defense and goaltender are first rate.

But, I will say this, the Rangers supposed better players are looking quite awful apart from Hank and Zuccarello.

Dan Boyle's play is the drizzling sh!ts, guy is done.

Girardi and Staal's contracts are looking like a serious albatross on the Rangers cap situation(Thanks, Slats).

When half your defense looks less than average I think it's time to give McIlrath a serious chance and maybe even recall Diaz or Skjei. Would anyone be opposed to not seeing Boyle out there ever again?

My love for Hank is deep, take that however you will creeps, but is there any doubt who the clear best goalie in the league is right now?

Price can lead Montreal to a title if they get a another solid scorer in there.
