Boyle was a -3, in a 3-0 loss, just awful - jimbro83
I really wouldn't mind if I never see him play another shift in a Rangers uniform.
Losses like these are tough because you know what happens? Vigneault changes the lineup around and gets his boy back in the mix.
I haven't watched an entire game, aside form the season opener, but from the little I watched last night it was obvious the Rangers weren't scoring.
Nash and Kreider are their supposed best two finishers and they have no goals through five games.
Brassard is embarrassing out there, Stepan not much better and Hayes looked lost on the wing.
Time to mix and match the lineup but hopefully with the same mix of forwards that started last night.
Defensively, have to get McIlrath back in there. |

the 5 on 3 it looked like they were desperately trying to setup Stepan to take the shot
He should be the one setting guys up for the shot in that situation
just absolutely irritating all around

What ever sports psychologist Kreider saw in the summer, I think they changed him into a non hitting pussie.

I said that to my gf before it even started. I said I guarantee they are just going to pass it around and wait to give Stepan the shot from the dot. Like everything Arniel has done on special teams since he got here "predictable". |

Yea I didn't understand setting up Stepan for one timers
And how do they have 1:43 of 5 on 3 and Nash doesn't touch the ice. He is the best offensive player on the team. I don't care if Arniel runs the powerplay, AV needs to override him there |

His 0 penalty mins are screwing up my fantasy team. I expected a few game misconducts by this point |

Thankfully I missed that unsurprisingly failed 5 on 3 power play disadvantage. If Stepan is your trigger man Houston you have a big @ss problem. |

Kreider has a sh!t season we need not worry about him breaking the bank this summer. How could he validate getting over four million per if he doesn't even score 20 goals this season?
Kreider's development is a big key to the year. If he doesn't, the team will be middle of the pack at best. |

He gets credit for the work he has done to be a better player. The problem for most was it wasn't a good pick at the time, and how long it has taken him to just be on the roster. But I also agree, he should be in the line up. Have no idea why he was benched again after only playing a few minutes because of all the penalties against the Jets. I thought he looked good against the Jets. |

Power play is really the bottom of the barrel and has been a problem, for the Rangers organization, ever since Jagr left.
Nobody shoots and if Nash is not on the power play that is on the coaching staff. Vigneault should have final say on the player personnel, for any situation, and if he is in agreement with Arniel, on Nash not being out there, he needs to pull his head out of his stinkhole. |

Its just bad. The defense doesn't even pay attention to Yandle cause they know he won't shoot the puck. Everyone just collapses down low so there is no room. If Yandle would actually shoot the puck maybe more space would open up |

Boyle and Girardi warrant being benched. Staal looks so so out there but nothing that deserves him being scratched out of the lineup.
Yandle, Klein and McDonagh look decent, if not spectacular, but Boyle and Girardi just look god f*cking awful out there. |

Heres the thing with Kreider. If he isn't going to score, then cause havoc on the ice. One of the best game I saw him play last year was in the playoffs vs Tampa. He had like 10 hits in the 1st period a couple of them devastating, and multiple scoring chances. When he engages physically his all around game gets better. I'm getting tired of the wallflower Kreider. |

The Kreider of last year would have put Price 3 rows deep during that hit. Not turtle and take it bending over lol |

Girardi has had awful starts the last few seasons. So I'm willing to give him a longer leash. Boyle just looks straight up done. |

That's always the key to any successful man advantage unit: a big time shot from the point.
Rangers don't have one or at least one that thinks shoot first. Yandle, McDonagh, Klein and even the hideous Boyle can actually all shoot the puck fairly well. Come power play time everyone defers to the setup at the goalline. It doesn't work especially when it's all you do. Teams study traits and the Rangers never mix it up. It's always win the draw, if they even do that, get the puck to the point, throw it to the half wall and then set it up to where the goalline becomes the main point of attack.
Not having Nash out there really makes no sense. |

Exactly, same with Subban crosscheck to the back of the head, and then the 3 punches. Have some balls man!
And you know me Matt, before Hayes came along, Kreider was also my boy, but its getting difficult to defend him, and it sucks, because we all know how good of a player he could be. |

That makes all of us.
Kreider just looks like he is not all there. That can be a good thing when he is focused on the task at hand because he is a physical beast when on his game. But when he is not the guy floats around all night without any sort of purpose out there. |

It's almost like he is afraid to take penalties now. I would rather lose with him just going beast mode lol |

I was ashamed to be a Rangers fan when Price knocked Kreider down last night.
The level of embarrassment couldn't quite be explained with just words alone. |
