you can tell that Doc, Eddie and Pierre cannot stand the Flyers

The feeling is mutual, I can't stand listening to any of them.

For what it's worth, announcers said that puck was on edge or bouncing. In fact, they were talking all night about the puck bouncing around.

Yes, but it really does seem to be a trend with him. I commented on it in preseason. Keep an eye out for it and see what you think.

The 4th line had a very strong game, they seemed to have the Hawks pinned in their own zone on numerous occasions. My guess, is that Hakstol simply rewarded them for their efforts.

Laughton's struggles on faceoffs might have contributed to his lack of ice time last night. So far he's 11-27 for the season, so that needs to improve in a hurry.

The 4th line also has guys that kill a lot of penalties, so that would increase their ice time as well.
- funmaster18

Yeah, but I believe the original post was only referring to their ES time.

I forget what it was now, but Doc had some stupid new catchphrase he beat to death last night. And it was annoying.

Good point. Other than faceoffs though, I really like the way the kid has played so far.

I regards to last nights broadcast team, I watched a lot of the game with the sound off and a guitar in my hands.

I think Laughton has the fire to be a very good Flyer

I would be thrilled with a 5th and 6th!

I think Luke has some value, but I think the Flyers would have to send a pick with McDonald in order to move him, because of his contract.

I think it is hilarious. His line has been our best offensive line in the early going and people still are champing at the bit to get him out of there. 4 games in, 2 points for him, 3 points for Schenn and people are still critical.
- jak521

I think Schenn has been driving a lot of the chances the line has been getting, to be honest. Couturier has generated some pressure at times and has helped sustained drives. But the real opportunities, and in the best scoring chances, were more a result of Schenn's drives to the net or some crisp passing.

I'd still prefer Gagner or Read on the other wing. Gagner - Couts - Schenn would be worth a look for a game.

Does anyone have a link to thevideo that was played for kimmo? My son threw up on me and himself, so I missed most of it changing both of us.

They got a lot of o zone starts. The pk Might of balanced it but it seemed like the entire first they got the majority the starts. So the appearance they had them pinned is only semi true. Yes they kept puck possession in their end but they did nothing with it. They had one good chance. I didn't get it.

Schenn wasn't even on the ice for the goal Couturier assisted on last night when he brought the puck into the zone and fed Simmonds on the RW.

2 shutouts is nothing to sneeze at, but the defense has played well in both efforts. I was just hoping those guys can hold down the fort for awhile until the youngsters come up. Defense has been playing beyond my expectations.

Haven't read all 4 pages, but has anything been discussed regarding Mason/Neuvirth? Personally I would stick with Neuvirth but I understand the argument you shouldn't lose your job due to injury or in this case a family crisis.

I would ride the hot hand. Neuvirth has been a streaky goalie in his career but never awful. He's prone to have these stretches of excellence. You obviously want to keep that going and give Mason time. I said beginning the year despite Mason's wishes I'd prefer a 50 32 split or in that range. My opinion hasn't changed

Neuvirth certainly looks more than capable of being a solid backup.
Coming off back to back and a belly to belly shutouts, he's got to play the next game.

There is no chance this morphs into a goalie controversy right? RIGHT!!????
