It's like Scuderi can only hold onto the puck for a specific number of seconds, and once the timer's done he has to get rid of it. If no one's open he just passes the puck to where no one is and whatever happens happens. So goddamn frustrating.

Yeah, I know the play you're talking about. It was like, where the hell is he passing it? He literally just gave it to the closest Hab.

I've given up all hope that he gets scratched or traded.

Another very mediocre period that didn't show much progression in terms of results or process. Bennett and Dumoulin looked good. Still waiting on Malkin, Crosby, Kunitz, Hornqvist, or Perron to do something meaningful.

So all and all I like the way we're back checking and playing physical, but our top two lines just can't have a controlled zone entry into the offensive zone to save their asses. And it's not for lack of trying by the back end. The D core as a whole has done a good job of facilitating with crisp, clean passes besides the one usual suspect. The only line that's doing anything is the third. Having a skilled fourth line is useless if the top 9 isn't firing on all cylinders because then they can't sneak in behind a powerful attack and chip one in on a tired team, and it's shown this game. The fourth line has been invisible.

Bennett and Ploti are having a good game with each other and Dumo is coming along. Letang is his usual brilliant self and Cole has been steady. Maatta and Lovejoy are pretty invisible which is good for Lovejoy but bad for Maatta. Maatta and the top 6 need to step it the (frank) up.

My Dad is at the game, he just text me and said this is pathetic beyond belief. I think this might be his last yr of season tiks.

So Sutter wasnt the reason for last years failures, there were much much deeper issues?

Hornie is the only one in the top 6 skating like this game matters. Until that changes, it won't get better. This effort looks like they're trying to get the coaches fired.

Considering they had to did into the WHL to find a coach that wanted to be here, I'd be scared to see who they find as a replacement.

Funny... Disco would always have great regular seasons and then poop the bed during the playoffs. We'd all want him gone after the post season but then gradually forget during the next regular season. Then Johnston comes in and has a mediocre regular season but then coaches quite well during the post season with a cripple team and we all forget... And now we're calling for his head again.

the habs aren't an elite team. They are an elite goalie. Yes that's how I meant to type it.

could crosby score some points tonight? He's killing my hockey pool. I wanted JT but he was drafted before Crosby.

- Isles_since_6

Haha if they are just an elite goalie you dont watch much hockey buddy. Have a good night

Didnt think for one second MJ was any good in the playoffs...losing round one in 5 games is not a good result. Regardless of injuries. Its a credit to the players that dressed that we had even a decent showing.

Our issues of losing our cool and alienating the refs hasnt changed from the disco era. This has always been our undoing...we havent seen it happen in the playoffs with MJ because we were golfing before we knew it.

Sad state of affairs when BB is your only offense. We'll here's to our second goal of the season. Let's go Beau.

He's been having a hell of a game. Guy can do no right...

I'd say double shift Malkin or Crosby with the Plotnikov-Bennett line but I don't think they deserve it.

Best shift of the night for Crosby/Kessel/Kunitz so far.

Bennett looking good tonight. Bonino and Plotnikov fit with him.

Feel bad for Sprong. He might not see ice for a bit now with the that penalty.
