Not sure.

Incidentally, what goes with the crow I'll have to eat if Brayden Schenn has a breakout year this year?

Good win last night. Thought it showed more about the team that they won 1-0 with their backup goalie than if they'd won 5-2 or something like that.

Also, Ekblad is really good already. Kinda scary. Has the potential to be a top 5 dman in the league. Even though the Flyers didn't make the move for him at the draft, it shows that Hexy's talent evaluation is pretty good.

It's early but I think we are going to be very happy with Provorov and Konecny.
In regards to the scouts talent analysis.

I had a dream last night they traded Amac and a 3rd round pick for Brad Marchand, concussion and all. And I was happy about it. And I hate Marchand.

Sheesh.

- Marc D

I'd be happy with that

Is Marchand's concussion HOF worthy?

Son, you remarking that anyone has made an asinine statement is the textbook example of the pot calling the kettle black.

Have a nice day.

whether Couturier's role in the only goal is HOF worthy, iirc
- BulliesPhan87

Awesome. I hope people are throwing in a bunch of fancy stats.

Yup
Plus we may have a couple of mid round finds as well with Friedman and Lindblom.
Add those 2 to Sanheim, Provorov, Morin, Gostisbehere, Aube-Kubel, Konecny, Sandstrom and Hagg and things are definitely looking up.

Well, it's not in the same league as Gudas' beard, that's for sure.

Not talking hits/board play as much as getting into people's heads on top of all that.

Going after Shawn Thornton of all people

- Tomahawk

That would add something to his game, but we can't really afford two penalty magnets in the top 6. Luke has flaws in his game, but I actually like the fact he dishes out a lot of hits without every getting suspended, and rarely gets penalized. Only four minors in 58 games last season.

I thought Couturier had a lot of jump in his step and showed promise that he can anchor the 2nd line and raise his offensive game to the next level.

I'm all for patience but really can't wait to watch Ghost.

Soon enough hopefully.

The 2nd PP if Gagner sticks, feeding pucks on the tape for Ghost one timers...
Oh my!

unfortunately for Luke he is also mistake prone and slow a foot. When you lumber around like that the mistakes stand out. I think Manning has a bit more offence and is an over all better skater. I think either is fine in a bottom pairing to be honest, just think the Flyers appear to want to move on from Luke.

That's more of a contract and cap issue. Schenn is the better player

On the flip side, he's not alone in needing to bury the chances he gets. It's nice to make one goal stand, but it's not a repeatable formula for success for this team.

I think that's being overestimated. Schenn has done the same, challenging people, standing up for teammates, etc
