I think Quick is just Cam Ward 10 years later. Had one amazing year including the playoffs that won the Kings the cup, but has been pretty average since on some very good teams. Certainly not the best goalie other than Price like a lot of people have been saying since that first cup. The second cup he had a 2.58 gaa and a .911 SV%, those are not stellar numbers. He gets pulled a lot more than average; maybe it's just Sutter's style to yank his goalie if he's having a rough game I don't know, but he wasn't great in the Olympics last time out for a team that was supposed to compete for gold again with a 2.17 and a .923. Compared to Miller's 1.35 .946 numbers in his Olympics. Also interestingly enough both goalies have a career regular season .915 SV%. Miller's GAA is a bit higher at 2.59(with 2 awful seasons from '12-'14 where he was 32-39-8) to Quick's 2.27, but I'd hardly say that the teams in front of Miller qualify as "defense first" the way the Kings do. Miller also has a better career win% at .534 to Quck's .521, so either Ryan Miller is way better than people give him credit for or Quick is a lot worse.

For the most part, he's played well in relief of Lehner. In 2.5 games, he's allowed 7 goals, and 3 of the 4 Tampa scored he was screened on and had no chance. If the team can play full games like they played the final 40 minutes against Columbus and he plays like has the last 2 games, they should be just fine.

I still want to see what Lieuwen can do too.

That Panther drive was more Fred Jackson and Keuchly's dumbassery. Manuel checked down to Jackson pretty much that entire drive, something many of us (rightly) hammered on Trent Edwards for. Fortunately, Ron Rivera had one of the worst coaching games in his career.
