Well I haven't seen them lead teams through the playoffs but I'd be surprised if at some point they didn't. I like both players and wish they were both still Bruins.

Seguin is a legit #1 centre star. The numbers don't lie. You can't use potential in him like he's some unproven prospect.

Of course he's a legit #1 center. I said potential cornerstone which to me means somebody who leads the team through tough playoff series and comes through in the clutch when it matter most, not whether or not he or Hamilton would be elite producers because it's pretty obvious that they are.

I guess it depends on what your definition of a cornerstone is, to me personally it's players like Toews, Keith, Bergeron, Chara, Doughty, Crosby. Proven winners.

So yeah I can why you took what I meant out of it's intended context but in
The very same post I acknowledge that I think they have what it takes to be leaders to winning hockey teams, they are both very young and likely have their best years ahead of them and are surrounded by great talent in both organizations.

Maybe he is looking for Positives?
1- the 1st PP unit?
2- Ericksson has been pretty good?
3- the Krejci line has been pretty good?
4- Chara didn't have any body parts fall off on the ice his first game?

There is some good news.

I hope they give Erikkson more of a shot at the top 6 and PP. He is one the best 2 way forwards on the team and should play in all situations, 20 min a game.
Maybe he has a rebound year offensively and we can turn him into a good return at the deadline.

Rebound.....?

I'm being somewhat sarcastic. But he was a stud last season on a crappy third line and was one of the best wingers not playing with an all star in Bergy (referring to Marchand.)

So, if we are looking at what return Marchand can fetch us................

Why would we be looking to also turn around and cut ties with Ericksson, our best winger this season by a million miles.......?

That's a rhetorical question for Sweeney and Neeley not you.

I love Ericksson as a player. I went form really like-to-love from the start of the season three games in.

If we were to trade him, Bergy would be burnt out and injured within a dozen games.

What "most" of us seasoned fans have said about Connolly, Belesky, and Hayes is slowly becoming a reality to "everyone else."

This team has Bergy, Krejci, Marchand, Pasta, Ericksson, and spooner as solid top nine forwards. most of the other players have been given up on by there past teams.........

Remember last season with the "dead weight" comments? We changed the names but the players "seem" to be the same. Too many "role" players not enough skill........for this system.

Rebound, meaning something in between Dallas numbers and Bruin numbers, like 25 goals and 60 points. I don't have the hate on for Louie like some, but he is a UFA and that was the only reason I brought his name up as a guy to be moved at the deadline.
