Help, the sky is falling. Seriously, I'm happy with the Kane trade. Maybe ROR needs time. He's had a long layoff & surgery as well.

Right?!

2 games in and already "the rebuild is ruined", "this guy blows", "Fire Murray", "Bylsma sucks", "ROR is terrible", "Kane this" and "Lehner that", "Nolan's teams would have won those first two games ".

This is why I stopped posting here. The negativity is ridiculous.

Why is everyone so impatient? Many of you deluded yourselves into thinking this was a playoff team, and now after two games, you are acting like the world is ending. The reality is this team will not make the playoffs. They also will not finish as the worst team in the league. So really, that leaves many different outcomes. They could make a historic run to 9th or be bottom-5 in the league. We have to wait and see where things go.

One thing I know for sure is that they won't score 1 goal a game. Give it some time. My guess is they end up scoring around 2.5-3 goals a game for the season. That would be anywhere from 44-85 more goals than last year. Things will get better.

In two losses we have already seen a Sabres team capable of holding the puck in the offensive zone, winning faceoffs, and not being thoroughly dominated. If Kane's goal Thursday stands, we're possibly looking at a 1-1 team. But that's hockey. TB is a really good team yet only beat our backup on one clean shot.

The fans of this franchise have long been tortured. While everything you said is spot on, i can't hold anyones reaction against them right now. Fans just want a moment of fun. Something tangible that they've waited for. Sometimes advanced stats aren't enough.

I agree there. But fans also aren't even filling the arena so to me it suggests that they expect a poor season.

Good point. Were going to sit here and demand wins from the couch(while seats remain cheap and plentiful on stubhub) and then take to the internet and complain when they don't win. And how about somebody make some noise at these games? It was painfully silent when we were in it.

There were $14 seats on stubhub yesterday. People paid $10 for a prospects game (in July!) but could have seen an NHL game with a top star (Stamkos) and a budding star in Eichel. This fan base is so weird.

I would have gone but I had no baby sitter. Might try and go tomorrow. I will be the only guy making noise is my section if necessary. We have Eichel out there for christ sakes. We have what we want, GO MAKE SOME NOISE! People sitting around waiting for goals like hockey is new here.

To some extent, we must consider that an afternoon game on a beautiful fall Saturday could have an impact on attendance.
You may see a different impact for tomorrow's game on a holiday...maybe more lively kids show up.
In any event, it was game 2 in that respect as well.

Enjoy the ride to the top, it may take awhile, but that is half the fun too.

Tomorrow's crowd will probably be louder since about half will be kids.

Just wanted to put this in perspective. Yesterday's crowd, on a Saturday, was 17,700. There are 16,000 ST holders. So only 1,700 of 3,000 remains seats sold.

Only because New England is likely going 15-1 and that leaves us in a situation where we are one of 12 teams fighting for 2 wild card spots. Not much room for miracles or turnarounds. When you're in New England's division, every game is a must win.

Relax junior.

The Bills even after losing last week are still holding down a playoff spot.

They do need to win today that's for sure but step off that ledge my friend.

If they want to make the playoffs they have to beat a team like the Titans.

I was going to go to the game today until I realized I don't like either team.

Edit: $65 for 300 level tickets... No thanks.
