People are expecting way to much of this team, especially this early. Like you said, loads of new faces and we are horribly young. It will take some time for everyone to get used to each other and develop some chemistry.

The one good thing, IMO they actually look like an NHL team this year, have some speed and can actually play with a team like Tampa for long stretches. Sure there were lapses today but the team is light years ahead of where we were last year even though the amount of wins might not show it.

This was never going to be a one or two year turnaround, year 3 we should be able to compete with anyone and make the playoffs.

Agree. Though the score was worse I thought they actually played better this afternoon than on Thursday night. Got into penalty trouble with a team that'll kill you on the PP.

Although I still think the Sabres can be competitive this year -not necessarily in the standings- and make the playoffs and some noise next year. They played well today against the reigning conference champs and hung with them for 50 minutes and outplayed them for a few too. Why Bylsma broke up the EKG line is beyond me. I understand trying to find chemistry, but it doesn't happen in 6 minutes of ice time either; you have to let guys get comfortable with each other.

How's everyone doing in their divisions? Right now I'm in 3rd with 251, 2nd has 251.5 and 1st has 252.5, and the next guy/gal is at 224.
