They'll squeeze in to 3rd in the Atlantic and play the Habs. Bolts in 1st and Wings/Panthers battle it out for wildcard.

Everyone has us out of the playoffs, which is something that hasn't been the case for almost a decade. Time to play the underdog role!

shhh. here's a secret, the Bruins won the cup in 2011. and went to another final in 2013. and the year after we traded Seguin won the Presidents trophy. and the Lucic trade was a huge win for us.

No body thinks they flat out suck but if they missed last season though. and by your own admission its hard to say how they changed, than is it really that outrageous that people think they will miss again?

Columbus and florida got better.
The Sens (yes I'm biased), got better. Montreal even if price doesn't repeat, will get solid goal tending from price. Most teams are improving, while the Bruins as you said, it's hard to say what's going on.

I'm not saying that they're guaranteed to make the playoffs either. I'm just finding it hilarious to see everyone writing them off like they don't have a shot.

I'd love to hear your opinion on how the Sens got better though... what exactly did they add in the offseason that makes them a better team? Also let me remind you they have ZERO chance of Hammond winning like 49 of 50 games again or whatever ridiculousness he did last season...

Not finishing last in power plays for the 4th consecutive year would help. If the Caps game was any indication though, expect much of the same.

This is what I envision as well. We messed up a bunch of trades (trading the wrong guys), and drafted horribly.........it is the hell that is mediocracy. Like most of the late 90's and early 00's. Vancouver reminds me of this type of team over the last few years.

But, let's drop the puck and see if the images in our heads become reality or not. Need to atleast give whatever this plan is a shot.........hockey is back!

Who cares about Hamilton? Did I say anything about Dougie? He can go listen to Taylor Swift in drag til the cows come home for all I care. I was honestly more upset when they traded Boychuk.

And by the way, last three times I went to see the Bruins play seemed like two thirds of the arena was in black and gold. I could take the trip to Boston but just staying here is probably just as good.

Sens are dependant on their youth it is true. There could be some slumps from the young players, but with Karlsson stone turris hoffman ceci etc getting a year older, I'm confident they can improve on last season. Along with players like legwand and phillips leaving or getting less icetime.

And Anderson will be the number one.

I had the same thought.

I expect dougie to do even better then he did last year.

I can't see the Bruins being much more than a wildcard. That defense is losing their anchor and has given up some quality talent the past 2 years, and that's not mentioning Seids. The forward ranks are fair at best. Think you guys are on a similar path as MTL. Goalie dependent. That's my objective opinion.
