Not even close. The guy has played almost 30 NHL games, has 2 assists. He's supposed to be an offensive defenseman....and apparently his defensive side of the game needs some work...so why would this guy belong in the NHL....he's not even good at what he's supposed to be good at...offense.

no, it wouldn't. Panik didn't make the team. They were likely going to waive him anyway, just weren't forced to until they picked up Corrado.

he's also 5 yrs older. What would be the point of that? McBain is absolultely as good as he is ever going to get. And that isn't very good.

And if he is better (very much up for debate) it is by a very small margin. Given that Corrado's age suggests that he actually has room to develop, it is an absolute no brainer. I can't believe it's even a discussion honestly.

They aren't trying to find talent for this season. They are grabbing a free prospect who might improve being coached by one of the best coaches in the game. There is very little hope of that with McBain.

I like picking up corrado. I just think there were more useless options to drop than panik. arcobello and parenteau come to mind
