Also, prior to last season, Bozak finished with 39 ESP... 2 behind Turris... in 58 games.
It's almost as if switching from a run and gun to turtle and turtle might have had a negative impact on his scoring. - Feeling Glucky?
And then place that in the context of ES goals against. He and his line has been the worst in the NHL for multiple years whether they try to score irresponsibly or while trying to play some 2 way hockey. |

Turris to Kadri is probably a closer comparison. And it's going to be a poop year and I'm actually interested to see how some guys perform without Kessel. Maybe a simple possession game with help some of these guys. - The Law
Interestingly enough, according to OwnThePuck, the difference between Bozak and Turris is the same as the difference between Turris and Kadri.

What's are motto this year? #matthew16 or something like that? I'm trying to find ways to appreciate October - March but really April can't get here fast enough. |

You'll be proven right when a guy like Nylander finally gets his shot and shows he belongs? How are you going to prove that he would have done that without the extra time in the AHL, or that would have been better for the team and their rebuild? - 1979AD
Nylander being here today or three from now will make no difference without a solid core of veteran players that have been here for 5 years as a foundation. I'm telling you right now that this Detroit model that is dancing in the heads of Leafs fans will not take hold for the foreseeable future. |

Well, Bozak was a +3 that year... and sadly, Bernier and Reimer are no healthy Craig Anderson.
Funny enough, without a healthy Craig Anderson, all of Turris's even strength points this last season only amounted to a +5, when putting them in context with ES goals against.
hmm. |

If they settle, I still find it unfair that they will be completely free of any cap implications - ILoveLamp
Absolutment. But the season starts tonight. Draft pick forfeiture a la NJ Devils? |

Bobby Mac hints at it but the main settlement is between the PA/MR and the Kings. That's just $$ so it's the easier part. Getting 29 GM's to agree to 'forgive' the Kings and give them more cap flexibility is going to be the bigger hurdle.
Given what I know/have read it looked to me like the PA had to feel good about this case so I'm not sure why the other GM's would give the Kings an inch of room on this one. |

PLEASE STOP
you are comparing an undrafted college FA to a top 10 pick
if turris had kessel on his wing his numbers would have been inflate 20-25% too.. just like Bozak's were. |

didn't the NHL approve of Richard's contract being terminated?
How can they approve something and then punish the team for it? |

I'd never dream of comparing an undrafted player like Martin St. Louis to a #1 overall pick like Stephan or Daigle!
Draft position means nothing when comparing what they're actually doing on the ice.
Turris's numbers are inflated by playing with a d-man who wins the Norris without ever visiting his own zone. |

If the other GM's give some room it's because they want to get out from other contracts in a similar fashion. The rich teams have no problem tossing money at this type of stuff. |

I was really, really hoping to be able to cut my cable.
We aren't there yet. - Atomic Wedgie
I gave it a good look also Wedgie.
I could live with the standard def sports although that was a drawback.
I just figured that keeping cable was the path of least resistance for my wife and son. I use Kodi for movies, and binge watching TV series. I have a lot less download headaches and security concerns now
