Any time you tell a professional athlete to start doing something different from the way they are used to doing things, it's a huge risk.

Nilsson (NYI), BTW, is on unconditional $125 waivers, which at this time of year (no buyouts) means mutual agreement to terminate contract.

Jonathan Bernier starts tonight against Montreal. Bernier is 1-5-3 lifetime against the Habs with a 3.07 GAA and .900 save percentage.

I'm not talking about forwards. They have two, actually three D (Granberg injured) that should get a year of playing time, then you can bring in another next year, gradually.

I wonder how this Donskoi kid is going to work out in San Jose. Top line minutes right away apparently.

they are still developing gardiner and rielly

the defense is already young.. you cant put too many defensive holes into your D.. work rielly and gardiner first.. then move to the next guy
