Frankie C was a serviceable 6th man when the Canucks had injuries. Just by his age, he was considered higher on the depth chart than his actual talent level. Everyone hoped he had a better long term upside.

It simply came down to him losing his spot on the team. Others surpassed him. Corrado is not the best skater nor is he the best at getting the puck out of the zone.

On the other hand, his defensive zone positioning was always good, he had no trouble going into the corners and battling in front of the net --- not to say he was always successful --- most of the time not, but his effort was there and decision making was good.

He fell to 9th on the depth chart in one year. He was at least 2 injuries away from being called back up.

Good Luck to him, glad to see he is excited about playing for his hometown.
