Saw Mike Bossy n TV last night talking about it... he wasn't a fan of it.
I think Shanahan just wants to let the players know "they're in this together".
Not sure how Babcock likes it, though.

Babcock's pretty hard to read though, cause he scowls at everything.
I'm not sure if he was pissed about a questions about what he thought was nothing, or he was pissed because it wasn't nothing to him and Shanny should stay the (frank) off His ice.
And honestly his reaction would be the same.

I'm just saying I think the Leafs are really on the cusp of transforming into a team that is patient with their player development.
So why wait?
If we could take a few draft picks, and trade them for some patience, we could be a patient team now, and start reaping the benefits.
I don't want to have to wait a year or two to fully install a philosophy of patience on this club.
Let's do it now - even if it costs us some draft picks or top prospects.
