I heard from a guy in Edmonton that Phaneuf lost all his money paying off police, media and golf course workers to cover up a massive brawl he had at a golf course restaurant in PEI...

I'm just saying I think the Leafs are really on the cusp of transforming into a team that is patient with their player development.

So why wait?

If we could take a few draft picks, and trade them for some patience, we could be a patient team now, and start reaping the benefits.

I don't want to have to wait a year or two to fully install a philosophy of patience on this club.

Let's do it now - even if it costs us some draft picks or top prospects.
