I know right? Cocaine does the trick just fine. Why are you pressuring me to drink more?
- CoHo_to_B-Lo

Good god no! Never had any want or need to do any drugs. Never even smoked a cigarette.

Not being a big drinker has saved me so much money. Ditto not smoking. Ditto not doing drugs.
- Pierceme69

I have friends that think it's crazy to spend more than $20 on a shirt, but will go out and drop $70 on a bar tab like it's nothing. I have no idea how that even makes sense but apparently it does to them.

Unsure if this read about Tyler Ennis has been shared yet so I thought would heave it out there.

This is not directed at you.

I am amazed at the amount of people that talk about how much they can drink or how great they are at beer pong as if it is it some great contribution to society.

- kingcong39

It's always nice to be good at something. That said, you're not going to find a lot of people older than 25 bragging about their drinking ability.

But I'm still (frank)ing good at beer pong. lol

As far as contributing to society, who cares. Mostly everyone has a hobby or an interest that they like. Like everything in the world, it's good in moderation.

You act like cutting down drunk driving by 5% is a nominal change. It's not at all.
- Pierceme69

You won't be cutting it down at all.

In fact it'll increase as people won't feel they're too fvcked up at 2 am as they would be at 4. Most people are gone by 2 so it'll put that many more on the road at the same time.

Murray could have had P Kane on draft day for Ennis and the 2nd round pick in the draft ( Eichel) Murray said no.

Thanks

I can't wait to see what kind of year Ennis has now that he's got a lot of other talented players around him.

And rightfully so. Kane is a great player, but you're giving up an awful lot for him in that scenario. I don't think I'd give up Eichel for Kane straight up to be quite honest.

I know a lot of people compare Ennis to Afinogenov around here, but to me, he reminds me more of Briere. I do think he's much better defensively though.

I would not have given up Eichel and Ennis for Patrick Kane either.

Wise move on Murray's part.

I'm not sure I'd want Pat Kane here at any price really.

Great talent

Terrible human being.

There's definitely a certain threshold where I'd not give a single (frank) about Kane the man. And that's next year's 1st. After he's (potentially) declared innocent.

He's become more Briere than Afinogenov as he's gotten older.

Ennis is a feisty little pain in the ass and I'm glad he's here.

He'd only get in more trouble here.

Not worth the risk.

Do we really know this as fact?

I mean (last I learned) it sounds as if the last scandal involving Patrick was just that, a scandal.

Perhaps the young man is learning.

Albeit slowly but perhaps he may soon finally begin to come down the hill of becoming a man instead of climbing up it.

I'm not sure because I don't know him personally, I just know how the media portrays him.

For a few years at least, Chicago paid for him to have a "handler" to keep him out of trouble. Nobody really knows what happened on the night in question, but even if you take that out of the equation, he's got a decent history of not making the best decisions.

Can't disagree more. The guy is an amazing hockey player - not a complete player, but for what he does (and being handicapped by not so great linemates), he earned being one of the top few paid players in the entire league.

22 skaters at practice. 12 forwards, 8 defensemen, 2 goalies. Gionta is not here, Reinhart steps up to line with Kane & Eichel.
