I never really like buying into the whole hype train thing but it be will great for the sport, no doubt. I mean that in a way where it may attract more fans. Look at how many people know who crosby and ovechkin are just because of the constant attention. Some of them have no idea what the nhl stands for but they know who those players are.

He had a decent preseason, looked promising, started to use his body and size more, skating still wasnt the greatest but from what Ive heard, it was improved from last season. Last 2 games was on Dutch's wing with Iginla. Seemed like that was going to be his spot but with the lack of goal scoring all pre-season Roy but all the lines into the blender. ugh so frustrating as a fan

Give it time man, someone will go down and he will come in to prove himself. Glad to hear he is using his size. Id like to see him be successful, it sucks that its taking so long for him to crack a line up.

I am surprised that Zadorov isn't further up in the D pairings in Colorado. Are the Avalanche that strong at D where Zadorov is in the 5/6/7 range?

I dont know what Roys doing, but he will be up in the Top 4 before the season ends. The plan was to have him play with Barrie, but when they traded for Gormley, him and Barrie has unreal chemistry all preseason. The thought for us fans with that Zads has the natrual ability to cover for Stuart on the 3rd pairing, Gormley doesnt, so keep him G with Barrie since that pairing looks solid.

But then for whatever reason, Roy is going to bench Gormley, and dress the worse Dman in Guenin to take the role as Barries partner.

Roy has a fetish for reward his foot solider vets with crap like that "he has earned to play the opening night for what he did last season" sort of mentality . Guenin will suck again and Zads and Gormley will be up the depth chart by game 10

Zads is still very raw. It was projected he would take 3-4 years to make the NHL full time when drafted

Rantanen wasnt really a thought to make the team coming into camp, but he has been so impressive, he has a top 6 role right out of the gate. He is primed to do some damage early on.

Rendulic/Everberg are Roys prototypical wingers, big bodies who like to muck it up in the corner. Grigo was just a little too indecisiveness with the puck at times, but he does wow you with at times.

Iginla and tanguay wont play 82 games, they always get banged up, I forsee Tangs going down first and Grigo will join the line of MacKinnon and Landeskog

If the avs are hovering around .500, for sure he will get a look back with Duchene. With 9 new players, 5 of them havent even played a full NHL season. It will take time for Roy to phase them all in, dont think the team will come together until deeper into the season.

He might be injury prone, but other than last week he's never missed a game, so it's not like a guy who constantly misses time because of injuries. But really, other than the rib thing last year and now the calf what other injuries has he had?

I'm not saying we should have took Odell Beckham jr. I don't even know if he be the same player here I'm just saying we are always unlucky drafting wide receivers quarterbacks or running backs

The bills have done extremely well with running backs all the way back to Travis Henry, then Lynch, Spiller was good, but totally misused, Fred Jackson. That's a solid group. We haven't had a need at RB in the last 12 years, injuries notwithstanding.

QB's and WR's on the other hand... yikes. James Hardy, remember that guy?
