I'm watching on firstrow.

I never realized how huge Lehner is. It looks like some forced perspective with how big he is in net.

Don't get me wrong. I'm not a "we need to get rid of fighting" kind of guy, but why does there have to be a fight every time there's a (big) clean hit?

This is where the "sending a message" for hits gets dumb.

Does anyone really think a guy like Boll is going to give a poop if someone drops the gloves with him over a check? Does "standing up for your guy" against a grinder really have any affect?

McCabe is looking like he doesn't know what's going on. Pysyk made a very simple pass to him a second ago and McCabe fumbled it.

I said this before but if Bogo and gorges miss alot of time this season we are in big trouble. Risto cannot do it all by himself. Mccabe isnt ready

Yeah. This season is going to be a lot more fun than the last few, but there are going to be times when things look rough. The good news is, it can't possibly be any worse than last year.

Penalty kill looked very strong though.

My hopes for him developing into a potential partner for Risto is sort of fading. He's looking more and more like a 4-6 guy

Yea its just unfortunate because Lehner is going to look that much worse with our defense playing the way it is.

The second goal he needed to get, but he's made some nice saves on bad blunders since then. I think Lehner will be fine. Though unless he has like 20 shutouts this year we'll have to hear about how Murray overpaid for him.

It was an unnecessary hit on a vulnerable player. Clean by the rule book but totally unnecessary.

Meh, I just don't buy into that stuff. If you're that weak-minded or weak-willed that it takes someone "punishing" a guy for playing the game - a game all these people have likely been playing since the age of 5 - then I feel sorry for their lives.

He was reaching for the puck. No contact to the head, didn't try and put him into the 10th row. If there was a hit to fight over it was the other night with Phaneuf.

Really would have liked him to get that 3rd one too. Though I really would have liked for the rest of the team to not turn the puck over as they were trying to enter the offensive zone even more.

I get the feeling it's going to end up Pysyk. I know they're both righty's, but Pysyk is comfortable playing on the left. I think they actually compliment each other really well.
