Give Lehner a legit run as a starter.
Sabres goalies were beyond brutal in the preseason last year too. Rounded into form just fine.

esp when you have nothing really ready in rochester

But on a serious note, non of these options are clear upgrades over what we have. I think it's best to bet on the guys we have. If either are a train wreck by January, then it's time to start thinking goalie moves. But for now we need to see what we have in Lehner and Johsnon.

and if he gets off to a slow start, we do not have a goalie that we can split games with, the team has to ride it out and sacrifice the season, like when mair was our second line center
