I wouldn't touch Bickell with a ten foot pole. He's still having vertigo issues, and that isn't even taking into account his contract or that fact that the Hawks have been trying to pay people to take him since July. Decent 4th line guy, but under the circumstances there's no way we should even consider claiming him.

Agreed. The Hawks have been trying dump him for a long time to save against the cap. Don't do them any favors. We really don't need a forward anyway.

I'd rather have them put Legwand on waivers. I like McGinn. He hasn't been great in the pre-season but don't forget he had back surgery last year and played in only 19 games. Legwand was a throw in on the Lenner trade, not sure Murray wanted him anyway.

Mcginn is a very useful 3rd line guy who can also play up and down the lineup baring injury. He had some injury issues last year but he's a guy who could score 30-40 points in a full season. Talking about waiving him is crazy talk.

He scored 19 goals two seasons ago. I think he can be useful either on the 3rd or 4th line. Health will be his main concern.

Bylsma seems to really like Larsson. He may have found a job on the 3rd line.

With all the forwards we have, we have no need for him, in fact I can't think of one reason the Sabres should claim him. He could be useful on another team in the midst of a rebuild, or a team that needs forward depth, but there's no room for him on the Sabres given the circumstances. I'd rather play a guy like Schaller or Varone over Bickell with that contract.

I've posted it before, I don't exactly expect that kind of production, but it isn't unreasonable to think he could score 30-35 points.

I've become a broken record... To me he's looked good in pre-season (I know) and he could teach the young kids a lot.

its not a bad thing. Bickell and mcginn are relative in scoring. Obviously the sabres were intentionally built and managed to not produce but for most teams i expect this out of every non role playing foward.

But if they are projected to be 4th liners than 4 mil for a 4th liner is too much and dont mind 1 year of mcginn there.
