General Fanager has it at $92.5K, but also says $10.5K at junior level. I haven't seen that caveat before on a contract though, so it is one or the other.

chiasson all day every day over neil

Seriously? He might not even get as many career goals or points that Neil has. Chiasson is the definition of a half-court player. He's good in front of htr opposition net and a disaster everywhere else .

And where are all the Sens fans who thought we were always soft and never had a guy to deter the other team or get revenge when we get a cheap shot? Who on this team can do that besides Cowen if Neil is gone?

Wanna see Michalek and Lazar being the guys that keep the Cookes and Marchands in check?

Neil is a dude, still a great player.

You're using neils career as a benchmark. But we're not in 2005 anymore. Chiasson has more to offer this team right now than neil does.

Neil will get his games this season as he's still under contract for one more. I can see him retiring after this season though, he has a lot of hard miles on him and is turning 37 near the end of the season. He's a very good option as a 13th forward.

It's funny you brought Cowen up because I've been wanting him to take on more of the enforcer role since last season. I mean it's clear he may never be a top 4 NHL D man at this point. He turns 25 mid season.
