I just hope they put the best roster on the ice which would mean no Scuderi or Gonchar. - jfkst1
At this point I think we might be better off just playing Letang, Maatta, Cole and then fill the rest of D with 4th line forwards.

Just watched Gonchar's game day interview. After saying all those words, he should have just sat this one out. |

We'll see. Cole has looked as good as hoped. Clendening better than expected. Disappointed in Dumoulin, Lovejoy, and Pouliot so far but I'm not making any definitive declarations based on preseason play either. The forwards look like they are going to overwhelm a lot of opponents.
EDIT: I'm comfortable making decisions on Scuderi and Gonchar because at their age they are just gonna get worse as the season progresses. |

Sund Wilson sheary and murray to wbs - nh4442
So Zatkoff is going to be the backup? He looked like a sieve tonight.
BTW, I hope you made out like a villain selling tonight's game tickets :-) |

Perron is another Sniper type... more rounded than Neal, bit less of a shot... I don't think you need that style of player with Crosby and Kessel though. - Guile
a bit less of a shot? I think its not that close. Give Neal credit. He has one of the best shots in the game ... Perron isn't close. |

No mention of this yet...but here is my I told you so moment.
Goaltender Matt Murray and forwards Conor Sheary, Scott Wilson and Oskar Sundqvist have all been returned to WBS.

Defenseman Sergei Gonchar was taken out to the pasture and disposed off peacefully. |

Although I will say as a WBS sth I'm happy with how our team is shaping up esp after tonight's first preseason game. |

Really don't see why this had to be debated... but when Neal can actually get to a puck around the net and bury it with a defender on him, skate without falling down for an entire period, or make the play himself... I'll put him in a class above Perron. |

I thought he couldn't be cut because he was still injured. |

So is there any date or when is the date they have to confirm the team?
Interesting Sundy was dropped & others arguably not as talented still roaming around centre 66.
Nice that all D got in the negative tonite - wtf?
There has to be some serious questions asked if Lovejobs plus minus keeps hammering the negative????
So Maatta, Tanger, Dinger, Cole & Dumo & Lovejob? Scuds & Lovejob? Dumo Scuds.
Surely Gonetoofar will see no contract & how did Worsofsky (s) look?
Hopefully our backup will be a little better than Jackoff was. Hard to have confidence but it's only early I suppose & Murray sure had problems .
Sprong? Can they give him the 9 games & play him top 6? Ol29er was saying every time he was on the ice the caller was calling his name in a good way (although how many prospects did Detroit ice so was the opposition good?)? BB? Is Beau looking good & confident? How did Sid look? Philbo Baggins?
Have they named a team for the last game yet? No? Wtf not?
How did the PP look? |

Gonchar That man was everything to the blueline in 09, but he was old then. This is too much. His retirement with Geno by his side on Saturday will be nice though. |

I believe that is the case. Also, they are waiting to send down the waiver required guys all at once now. |
