Lovejoy just got abused by a standard NHL deke. If Lovejoy plays on any pairing other than 3rd pairing, the Pens are in trouble. I'm glad he is only making $1.1 mil because that's all he's worth (if that).

Top 10 from tonight:

1.Thinking more and more Plotnikov should start with Malkin. Made some great plays with the stick, drives the net, and has some chemistry with Malkin. Extends the lineup down and makes everyone stronger. Can always switch move him down when Fehr comes back.

2.Matt Murray looks good.

3.Agree that Clendening looks better than Dumoulin and Pouliot.

4.Matt Cullen looks slower and pushed off the puck easier than i thought.

5.Maatta hasn't had a very good game.

6.Let Cole shoot.

7.Kunitz doesn't even look like he tries when Crosby isn't there.

8.71 & 72 are going to have a good year together.

9.Can't wait for these games to count.

10.Millbury is a douche.

It would be crazy for Murray to make the team this year and have Zatkoff go back down to WBS only to be usurped by Jarry for the starting role. To go from 2 to 4 in 12 months down the goaltending depth is the way to lose your career.

Sheary looks good and would make a good 4th liner, IMO.

I agree about Plot, but he plays the same game (more or less) as Horny. Not to get too caught up with the "2 similar playing styles can't play together and/or would be redundant" line of reasoning, but I think the team would be much better served by Plot playing on the 3rd line. I would rather have a sniper type on Malkin's line.

Agree about Cullen - he looks done as an NHLer. He isn't even winning faceoffs which is half the reason I like(d) him.

Maatta is still learning, but boy does he take a physical pounding. I don't know if he can last being the punching bag he is.

The minute Fehr comes back I'm trading Kunitz and Lovejoy for Dan Hamhuis because Benning is weak and should be exploited. And I don't know if I'm even done there. I guess if I can make that trade happen sooner Cullen can take 4LW and Dupuis can take 3LW. Waive Scuds and hope someone is desperate/ dumb enough to take him.

I love Plots throwing his weight around. This team needs more of that. As far as the D goes... It's a problem. Was really hoping to see more out of Dumo. If he isn't ready now.....then when?

I say again, in the year 2015 there is no franking reason a player should get charged with goalie interference when he is pushed into the goalie. Its some BS unprofessional stuff.

To be fair it was a bad play by Lovejoy, but to be even more fair it was a much better play by Druin than it was bad on Lovejoy.
