Honestly me too, but at 2 mil. At 4 mil it was easy for me to say "see ya!" to the guy.

Ya at 4 mil he was right to leave. But I'd take Jokinen on the second line with geno over perron. I really like perron but Jokinen was just amazing with Geno.

Scuderi is not getting waived/sent down, whatever. HCMJ considers him a shot suppression and a PK specialist. Also, a stay at home defenseman and a leader in the locker room. We better get used to seeing Scuds in the lineup (I am imagining as a 3rd pairing) on regular basis.

I agree with this. When they chose not to buy him out, I knew he'd be starting. At the very least it gives us plenty of "subject matter" throughout the year.

I wanted Jokinen to stay.. Think he would have taken a bit less than 4 mil to stay with a winner. But we went after Ehrhoff instead :/

Yes... And most likely we'd not have Perron here... So, Jokinen instead of Perron AND we kept our 1st round pick.

I like Perron, he definitely can put up more goals than Jussi, but I felt the chemistry Malkin and him had was like Dupuis and Crosby.


edit: nevermind about our 1st rounder... we'd have found a way to spend that anyway.

I don't normally have a lot of negative things to say about this team BUT this is a special game for a town that WON this game and the lineup the Penguins sent is AWFUL. Not a big fan of how the Penguins handled this game that is happening in THEIR state. The Lightning sent all their guys.

Sucks that it is the second of 3 in a row..I expected more of a full lineup..but who cares..great opportunity to see fringe players against nhlers.

Yeah... They f'd this up. Johnstown is Pens territory too. Big fans of the team. I'm never surprised anymore with decisions like this. The new owners need to fire some people IMO.

Just another game with one good line and getting blasted out of the building. Not sure what they are trying to prove at this point? They pretty much know who's in the opening night lineup and who isn't. And I don't agree with all the people saying Scuds is sticking. He has yet to be paired with another dman that is going to make the team in both practice and the games he's played. I think and hope he's on the outside looking in.
