That was always the tricky little question -- that offensive line

I had no issues with them moving on from Herremans and Mathis, but only if you bring in comparable young talent

To me -- and again, just an opinion, and I hoped it would work -- they should've kept Maclin and used the Ablogahor pick on a lineman, or moved down and picked two, because they needed an infusion of high-round talent on the line

Hindsight's 20-20, and nobody would be saying anything if they were 2-0. But I do think most people were leery about that line, and preseason, as always, is just an illusion

someone explain to me why bradford hold the ball so (frank)ing long i mean he made the play to ertz but he usually screws it up because he holds it too long

I'm willing to have some patience with Bradford, he's really just getting back into the swing of things after missing a whole season.

It's amazing how starting 0-2 puts everything in a whole new light. You either win Week 3, or everything you know is at risk

I'm sorry, but at what point do we honestly think Porter or Vandevelde is going to be better for the 4th line than Schenn? If Laughton can start in the AHL, let him. Someone will get injured and we will need to move players around. If they can move Vinnie or Umberger great but why wouldn't you have a lineup of,

Raffl/G/V
Read/Coots/Simmonds
Umby/Vinnie/Gagner
Bellamare/Schenn/White

If the 4th line scores more, congrats, it becomes the 3rd. The depth on this team is great, and if someone gets hurt or vinnie or Umberger plays well enough to get traded, move Laughton up and in. But we're going to need to showcase our Vets to move them for something that's not going to cost us a pick or keeping cap space.

Hard to justify whats going on here. Watching Lecavalier play in pre season, even though he apparently worked his ass off in the Summer, working out, doesn't appear to be an improved player in pre season. Looked like the same Lecavalier as last season. I don't believe he is a better player than Brayden Schenn is right now. If they're thinking they can trade Lecavalier, than Vinny better pick up his game. At least with Umberger there is a noticeable change in his skating. Also wasn't impressed with Gagner. Not a great skater, and not hard on the puck. Unless he improves, I think Brayden Schenn is a better player than he is also. Vets sometimes don't play all out in preseason. We have to hope that is the case with Lecavalier and Gagner. As far as B Schenn not being in the lineup opening game, I'll believe it when I see it.
As far as the Luke Schenn situation. I've only seen Gudas play one pre season game. I was not impressed. I thought he lacked mobility, was slow to react, and didn't handle the puck well. He struggled for the majority of the game. I would not be in a hurry to trade L. Schenn. Based on that performance by Gudas, Schenn is the better player.
