Bieksa/Sbisa got lit up way more, weren't they on for like half of our goals against? Pretty bad considering they only played roughly 33% of the time. Plus the forwards sucked too.

WD got outcoached as well.

Not a bunch. Edler/Tanev is fine, they could easily be a top 4 pairing on an elite team. Hamhuis is solid, but Weber brings that pairing down. I guess it's passable for a 2n pairing, but I'm not comfortable calling it a legit 2nd pairing due to Weber. The 3rd pairing is a disaster...maybe a 2nd pairing in the AHL

I think what it comes down to is that you value big hits and big shots more than I do. And I value possession driving dmen more than you so fundamentally we'll never agree on defense.

This Dman line up are cupcakes and sweethearts , this is why I like Bartowski so far , he looks like he has some grit

Back end scoring and toughness make good D. Being in the right spot and sticking out your stick doesn't get a lot of respect or intimidation

Back end scoring and toughness make good D. Being in the right spot and sticking out your stick doesn't get a lot of respect or intimidation

They also have Duncan Keith's shot , and puck skills , and I have seen Keith get involved also with hitting . We have Edler that has not really shone since 2011.

We don't have the puck moving skill but you will see a difference this year that we won't be pushed around

You don't have to fight or lay someone out every night. The reason Gordie Howe didn't have to fight every night or why no one wanted to go in the corner with him is because the knew how tough and dirty he was.

People give Lucic space because he is a psycho and unpredictable.

We have the reputation of doormats. You just have to be tough a few times and you will get the space you need

Id love to but where are you getting them from. Out cap space is Fd the Sutter trade helped wreck it more. Seabrook is out there at seasons end but not like they grow on trees. At least Tanev and edler could be on the team the next 5 years.

Keith barely hits man, Edler''s physically tougher to play against than him, hell even Hamhuis is. Keith doesn't have a big shot either. He has elite skating, hockey sense and skill which I agree that we're missing. Keith is the exact reason why I don't agree with overrating big shots and hits. Guys like him, Stralman, Giordano, Suter, etc.

Bartowski could have some potential to be a solid 4-5 guy. He can skate and move the puck fairly well too. Im sure its only a matter of time until he gets moved up. I think Corrado is better than Weber only problem is we then have no one with any PP skill they are all kind of solid Dmen and none have offensive flair if you will.
