Ghosts injury has nothing to do with the fact that hes still the most polished and NHL ready of the bunch. It's all irrelevent honestly. We don't have a roster spot for even 1 prospect player to make the team.
- mochoson

I dont disagree with them not having a roster spot currently for one of the prospects but I do disagree with him being the most polished.

Just because he scored a few goals yesterday on good shots doesn't negate the fact that be basically lost a year of seasoning while Morin didnt.

In the end i think they are the first two called up if we suffer a lot of defensive injuries.

Added one more frame, a pause on the logo at the end. Either way, my shot at helping the Flyers from a distance.

Either way, by far the winner.

Made the mistake of posting in the Hawks thread. Jesus Christ, I won't be poking my head in there any time again soon.

That situation in Chicago is beyond (frank)ed up.

I think Gostisbehere's offensive game and ability to play on the PP, is NHL caliber right now. I don't think his play away from the puck defensively, is ready. If the Flyers felt they needed to, they can make a roster spot without much of an issue.

I hope ghost can, become a player like Ryan Ellis on the preds. That kids a (frank)ing bulldog. Watched nashville quite a bit this past season and Ellis was fantastic. His defensive game was really good too. For being a smaller guy he really held his own, I think it was a bigger guy (backes maybe? Berg Lund maybe) But at one point he out muscled whoever it was and proceeded to skate up the ice w/ ease. That's what I hope we have in ghost.

Barely any room in the nhl for offensive only dmen. Karlsson, subban, oel, etc all really had to improve their defensive games to become the dominant dmen they are.

I really like vantanen, hes definitely got some work to do in his own end though, not horrible in his own end though.

Krug I'm not a fan,of. I feel like he's got very little defensive game.

I'm hoping he is more productive than Ellis is offensively. I'm thinking more like Torey Krug.

Ellis had 27 pts in 58 GP last year. I have not watched much of him

Yeah ellis' production was really good last year.

27 in 58 isn't bad at all. I believe the year before he had 27 in 82.

That's good.

I know a few years ago he quarterbacked Team Canada's PP in the WJC, and did really well. It seemed like everyone was high on him and then he never really got it going.

But now it seems like he does.

It's not bad, but for a player that I feel is basically an offensive defenseman, Gostisbehere is going to have to put up more points than that, closer to the 40 point range that Krug scores, and hopefully higher, to maximize his value.
