He's always been a slow starter so well see if he can step it up, but I agree he was not good tonight.

Just hard to see locking up a guy like KO. KO just seems like the type to disappoint over the long haul.

It just feels like he's here for the year then he's walking as a ufa.

Trade deadline rental for a 1st or couple lesser picks, maybe a prospect? Gotta get something(Rangers always willing to give up a 1st) If he doesn't want to give up a little to play with a guy like JT then don't the door hit your arse on the way out.

I agree with everyone that Okie was underwhelming. My guess is he'll step it up once the regular season begins. Otherwise, his agent will be in his ear all season reminding him that this is his contract year.

KO was the best player on the ice, his battle along the boards, tape to tape passes, isles should just sign him already, dude looks like he's in mid-season form.....

Problem with guys like KO is sometimes the agents get in their head. I like KO's demeanor and maturity. Watching some of those interviews last night and the guys look like they are already feeling the pressure to win. I think there is something wrong with the psychological mindset already with this team. Purpose of bringing in vets like Boychuk was settle these guys and teach them the emotional side of the game. The entire Ho Sang treatment was a bit creepy.

Good they should be feeling the pressure to win because everyone is under the microscope. Nothing wrong with expectations

ho sang, IMO, got exactly what he deserved for not taking the opportunity seriously. He'll have a year to think about it and knowing that it's no secret, it's all on him now to prove he wants it.

Regardless of the outcome, that (frank)-up is going to be a pivotal moment in his hockey career. If he received the message and gets his sh!t together, then it will be one of the best things to ever happen to him. Or...it could be the polar opposite.

You're probably right.

I'm just questioning if these guys are going to be burned out emotionally come April.

Was great last season with the start they had but this season is different. Every good team has pressure to win and hope these guys get brought along the right way. Important to work hard at your game but also enjoy the hard work as well. Everything is attitude, especially the mental aspect of the game which requires being in all type of game experiences. Get early leads and blow outs can lead to complacency as well as playing 1-1 for 60 minutes can wear you down as well.

Playing the final season in NVMC plus the Boychuk Leddy infusion made it a special season for the first three months but then teams started to adjust to them, which iis normal pro sports.

They were not a healthy team going into April. This time hopefully they have 4 set lines and two solid reserve forwards and at least one solid reserve d who has played 20 plus games and a bu goalie who played more than a handful of games.
