Medvedev wouldn't surprise me if he ends up on our top pair at some point. His instincts are solid, his skating is solid, he's got size, and he is very poised in both zones. I thought he's looked fine in his own zone. Had a few puck hops on him but he crisis controlled it fine. Goal was 100% not his fault. He was covering two men in front of the net on a defensive miscue by someone else -- he let the guy take the shot. He couldn't take the shooter and it wasn't even that great a shot Neuvirth let in. So I'm not sure where the criticism is coming in....

I wouldn't put much stock in the criticism, it's unwarranted. Medvedev looks real good, and I think he's a huge key to the season. If he can upgrade the Flyers skill level and mobility on the back end, while playing solid defensively, that will be a big boost for the Flyers.

Zone exits have been very clean and quick throughout the game. Flyers are doing a good job of minimizing pressure to hinder extended time in zone.
