Lucky bastard. Not only am I in this seminar, I had to take the train at 6:00 this morning to get into chicago before every other bumhole.

Anyone have any thoughts on whether the team will carry 14F - 7D, or 13F - 8D?

It's really hard to say without seeing any preseason games, and may not get much easier after all seven of them are done unless Laughton or Manning are awful.

Manning would have to pass thru waivers while Laughton doesn't, so gun to my head I think they'll start with 13F-8D. That would also mean only one veteran forward would start the season as a healthy scratch.

I'm sitting at work with nearly nothing to do, streaming HBO GO. Might take an hour lunch and sit in the park.

He's such a good coach, he's not in the league anymore. I guess he might be OK in a tournament. That's about all the shelf life he has.

They should have tried to blackmail the girl instead, since she's supposedly not single and dating another Czech hockey player.

I think they're somewhat comparable players. However, Gagner is a UFA after this season and Schenn is a RFA.

I don't see Brayden Schenn and Sam Gagner as compatible. Schenn is a younger, physical player who is willing to drive to the net. Gagner is a not so physical playmaker who has been trying find his place in the league since he entered the NHL. There is a 3 or 4 age difference here. For me, it's a no brainer to stick with the kid we've been grooming over the shinny new toy.

Haha standard proceedure, last pre-season I was using some sketchy Russian site but it got shutdown sometime during the season. Pretty sure i almost got a mail-order bride on accident from that one.

I should have clarified that, yes, they give you comparable production, not the their playing styles are comparable.

And yes, they're almost exactly 2 years apart, so it's not a huge age difference. All things equal, I'd keep Schenn as he is younger and is still an RFA, but I wouldn't be tied to him either if Gagner out-produces him.
