is the goal to win the ring, or have the players with the most pro bowl players

it's cap era

aside from saap and wilfork, not many teams have pro bowl players at that position and won the whole thing

If you have a QB, you can afford to play your D like that. See Seattle, although yes, I grant you that Wilson was not making top QB money when they won the Super Bowl.

Can we have one of your new star players for a bucket of our old crap?

Never going to happen.

Go back to the previous page and see my comments on installing Kodi media center with SportsDevil plugin. This will allow you to watch any sporting event in the world without popups and without having to hunt for links. For those of you that do this quite a bit I highly recommend getting a device that allows you to use Kodi in your home theater setup (I use OSMC and Raspberry pi).

This looks like a potentially nice setup. I dont have any hardware to try it on my TV, but am going to give it a shot on my desktop. If i like it, i may buy one of the supported pieces of hardware. Guess i shouldnt have auto renewed my Gamecenter!
That or i wish it worked on a Roku!

I'll take a shot - what's important to bear in mind is the organization's overall plan and how pieces fit into that. Reinhart is expected on this team to continue to have growing pains. They're going to protect him in the NHL or have that growth take place in the AHL this year, with the future vision of a Crosby / Malkin / Stall - like combo down the middle for the next half decade at least (no, Eichel / Reinhart / Girgensons isn't necessarily the same mold or may not be as good, but it's an approach comparison).

In short, Reinhart not being our #2 center this year doesn't mean his value to the org is diminished - if anything, it means his value relative to the Sabres vs the rest of the league indicates smart money would be to keep him. So I don't think again that shipping him out for a bunch of marginal veterans is wise.

Let's say you all determine that the writing is on the wall for the Sedins. Reinhart plus (picks, a young roster player not name Girgensons or Ristolainen) to solidify your rebuild in return for Daniel Sedin could be a starting point.

And it's not that I'd really want to do that trade, just trying to think of how the organizations' plans could align a bit better.

my guess is they are going with numerous combos for 12 guys up front to shake out the best 3 lines

I think the only given is Kane and ROR shake out somewhere on that top line

my 2 cents

Against an inexperienced line.

It's one game, against a great team. If we lose the next three games... then I'll panic. I never think the Bills can beat the Patriots.

oh I agree no need to panic, but to host a home playoff game, you have to beat the pats at home

instead of talking trash, maybe they should have ran some more laps last week

Probably right, and I'd suggest that no one's making long-term decisions on anyone under 22 this year. We'd need to be given a compelling reason to ship Reinhart out, and with respect to our 'Nucks friend, Hamhuis isn't very compelling.

So I guess Sam is buried as a center in the sabres organization. Are you gonna trade him for some veteran depth so that you can make the playoffs.

Something like
Sam

For

Hamhuis
Vrabata
Higgins
2nd

yikes. no. im not interested in moving him at all. he was our reward for tolerating barely watchable hockey for a buffalo winter. obviously its our gms call, and its possible reinhart could be in play for a bigger fish, but theres just no chance hes getting moved for spare parts and a second.

Definitely give it a try on your pc - the look and feel is the same as whatever device you might buy later on for your tv. Setup only takes a couple of minutes. The great thing about it is that it brings together all of the content on your home network (movies, music, pics, etc) and hundreds of plugins available to stream just about anything you can think of. Also, it is completely free.
