That's going to be an interesting top nine, I assume that would leave us with a 4th line of

Hendricks / Letestu / Korpikoski or Klink

From reports in camp it sounds like Yak buried sweet feeds from BOTH Lander and Dr Drai.

Half sounded like McL was telegraphing Nikitin as a potential top-4 option which- assuming progression to the norm from him- wouldnt be all bad. He protects the box well and has a solid stick.

Reinhart is the real deal. At Leduc today he was flying around, finally learned how to skate with a good stride. I remember him always straight legged when he was with the Oil kings. Im looking forward to tomorrow an Monday.

Pretty much! Give him top PP time and the likes and pair him with Reinhart (if his good impression continues). Then he and Gryba can switch out based off need.

Also Gryba us strong, but can't move well, Musil is better, oh well, their was no room for Marty, hopefully he can stick with the leafs. So lander is playing with yak, an dre looked great, but yak2 is a beast maybe one of those surprise. See how his foot speed holds up, but he has hands an strength no one on the has in a combo.

That's good to hear! I distinctly remember him saying that's what he needed to work on this summer too! Specifically mentioning the straight legs comment as well. Good to see the eye test suggests he has made the right steps to get better.

Fuk Purcell.
Just the wrong guy for our squad/alongside other skilled players for so many reasons.

I like him for depth reasons no doubt, but I really hope that a few of the kids can play well enough to take that spot

Your team captain can't motivate from the pressbox! Not only that, I even question his ranking at 7. Nurse will likely push him down the chart even more.

Hallsy needs to be wearing the C.

Can't say I see how you're jumping to this assertion. The guy has sweet hands, a plus shot (when he uses it), and solid defensive acumen. He's not an ideal fit, but I don't think you could say that for anyone on the team. Yak is the only other option I can see that would be ready but I dont think that'd work. Yak plays like a puck carrier and seems at his best when he runs the line.

Down the road, a guy like Chase, Pakarinen, or Slappy could be a solid fit, but they're not there yet.
