Boy, dunno, the part about the quality of how they make decisions and the ability to change and move on . . . right after Kane walked out?
- John Jaeckel

I'm on the fence about the meaning of McD. I said the same as Savvy, trotting Kane out was similar to the Crawford shaming. No doubt something happened right before they came out, you could see it on Kane especially, but not sure it means he is gone, even if that is only the fan in me hoping he won't be.

Did I hear Q say Seabs was getting the Captaincy? Or did I miss him say, "alternate"?

Thats what Q said, but the A's are considered captains too, they dont call them Assistants.

Could be . . . and then within a few weeks they talked to Buffalo and Edmonton (and later Winnipeg) about moving Crawford.

Kane is gone. Only a matter of time. Just listen to what McD is saying about the quality of their decisions. . . the ability to change and move on. WOW.

Now talent development.

Kane - "Once all the facts come to light, I am confident I will be absolved of having done nothing wrong."

Honestly, I do feel bad for the Hawks. This organization has built their staff and their team the right way. The fans went through some pretty awful years. Huet and Thibault?

It's too bad Patty Kane can't figure out how to grow up not just for the Hawks but also for his own well being.

Great question by that reporter. Why bring Kane there to say nothing?

Speculation at its finest.

Most people will interpret this however they want to lead it.

You can easily take it as they want Kane to reform and move forward as an organization from an ugly situation.

Nobodys body language will be positive here so people reading into that are over analyzing

I get that, but did people really expect Kane to get into the details of an ongoing investigation? I'm not aware of any situations where a team comments about a player's legal issues when the process is still unresolved.

Well Bowman's appreciation of the question definitely proves that they are all reading from the same cheat sheet.

The three of them look to be in mourning versus opening up camp off a Cup win.

Absolved of having done nothing wrong? Isn't that a double negative?

Thought the same. Now I'm really confused...

No, I hear you, however, I think he could have answered questions about feeling he embarrassed the club or not. I don't think that has anything to do with the ongoing investigation.

Surprise! Not.... McD IS, has ALWAYS been, and will LIKELY always be, the puppet master. Control the message.

So FourFeathers, do you think this is all a game and a charade and they were patting his back and don't care if this happens again?

I felt that comment was directed more to the turn over of players after a cup win .

Don't think so.

You don't say something like that at that point if it has nothing to do with the suspect of a criminal investigation you're paying $84 million to just walked out the door. McD is a LOT smarter than that.
