Oh come on JJ !!!!!

The Hawks , with Kane and it looks like they will be with Kane are absolutley STACKED at forward STACKED.

I agree they have some questions with D men 4-7 but the Hawks have the absolute best top 3 D men in the NHL .

Crawford and Darling are both very good.

I dont see the Hawks missing the playoffs at all. Even without Kane if thats the case the Hawks will still get into the tournament.

- mrpaulish

I do think thats a little pessimistic considering Hawks are still favorites to win the Cup.

I'm very cautiously optimistic about Dano, TT and Panarin and it really sucks that we got a hobbled 5D in Daley for Sharp and Johns who I still think is going to be a good one. But I would be surprised if the Hawks don't make the playoffs, and if they do, my money's on them.

Any semblance of regret, repentance, promise of reform for actions that put him and his team in an embarrassing situation?

Any "sorry for any problems I have caused, although I didn't do anything legally wrong, I'm sorry for again putting myself into a bad situation...."?

- StLBravesFan

Only in the look on his face and body language.

Running him out there was similar to making Crawford face the press after getting injured while drunk at a concert. Kane obviously coached to not respond to anything, regardless of how many times it was re-phrased.

Wonder if they told him he's moving out, that's why he looks so scared.

They threw him up there to embarrass him then McD comments are clear that they are not going to put up with this kind of stuff. You have to read between the lines, but the subtext is loud and clear. "Everyone else keeps themselves to a certain standard and we will not put up with people who do not" is the message.

Kane is gone. Only a matter of time. Just listen to what McD is saying about the quality of their decisions. . . the ability to change and move on. WOW.

Now talent development.

No way, IMO, feels just like when Cory Crawford fell down (or up) the stairs after having too much to drink when out at a concert . . . and the brass made him get up in front of the media to fess up and take the heat.

Felt exactly the same to me.
Kaner was probably wearing a double depends and if the look on his face was accurate, probably soiled through both by the time they "relieved" him from facing the press.

McDonough's statements, the body language. Especially right AFTER Kane walked out.

It looks like something happened right before they came out and it was not something Kane enjoyed.

I also found it interesting that the word culture was repeated a few times by McD.

Boy, dunno, the part about the quality of how they make decisions and the ability to change and move on . . . right after Kane walked out?

He was asked , but he just appreciated the question, aside from the slip of the tongue mentioned earlier, the only other one he may have messed up was when asked if he appreciated the support the blackhawks were giving him, he answered that affimatively and elaborated, probably should have just appreciated the question

Can't adequately synopsize for everyone asking, but yeah, that's the undercurrent I heard. Hopefully, they'll publish the full text. But things like "titles be damned," "continuity, but not for continuity's sake," emphasis on new faces.

Bowman looks very sad and seems he has/had a soft spot for Kane after boarding him in the beginning of Kane's career.

Also "consistency throughout the organization"

In other words, not gonna tolerate inconsistent personalities like Kane.
