Unlike so many of our first rounder in the last...I don't even know how long it's been but this kid has his physical game to fall back on during times of slump. I like his chances of staying...

We'll have to see how he looks against NHLers and whether or not he can walk that line between playing physical and playing stupid. I think we're going to be one of the more penalized teams as it is.

He looks good though. More than the physical play it was the power moves to the front of the net that impressed me. So far he looks like what Kassian was supposed to be.

a prediction of 100 points for the Vancouver Canucks may actually qualify as the single most comical thing I've heard this entire offseason. and this coming from a fan that has endured the Voynov, Stoll and Richards fiasco in a single offseason. In truth, the Canucks will remain a very competitive team that will be challenging for the last playoff spot. Which is never a bad thing. But to suggest anything other than that is comedy gold.

What an incredibly stupid comment. Do you know how many points the 8th seed will need this year? No, of course you don't.

Yeah I said that too last week. He is what we hoped Kassian would be. I don't see him losing a spot to Kenins on the roster

100 points is comically deluded, but 96-98 is perfectly reasonable.

Another factor will be how defensively responsible he is. He doesn't need to play a Horvat calibre 200ft game, but he will have to be mindful of that part of the game. The D isn't exactly stacked so the forwards are going to have to chip in. We saw Kenins sat last year for taking unnecessary risks.

Big factor. I watched him here in the WHL games and it's definitely an area he needs to work on. As is most young forwards coming in with the power game mentality.

considering how much time you spend going through posts that happened hours ago, its amazing that you are unable to comprehend any of it. Maybe you should take a bit take a bit more time to sort through this all.

Looking forward to reading your response to every post from today saying the same thing again and again.

Oh God, now you have done it. Expect an eight paragraph response and about three PMs.

Yup, and he didn't play a second of NHL hockey. Granted he doesn't have Virtanen's size and physical game to fall back on.

Nothing new. Same old same old. It's just culmunative. After not hearing them for a month I find I have less patience for their brand of belligerent creepiness.

How low have they set the bar today?

It boggles the mind that the ratings go up for that garbage show of d1ck & fart jokes.

was looking at tsn.

I think the lines might look more like this, I don't want Dorsett and Prust on the same line. WD is going to roll them and the ice time may be quite close with the bottom 3 lines.

Sedin Sedin Burrows
Higgins Sutter Vrbata
Baertschi Horvat Dorsett
Prust Vey Hansen

Kenins, Virtanen

Line #'s be damned.

If we aren't scoring, I wonder how long WD will give whatever lines he has before making changes?

Botch has repeated a couple times how the Edmonton media was going nuts after the JV hit.

Sounds like JV has really made an impression with his physical play and pushing the offense the last 2 games.

If he played centre, I could see him staying up. He will get his 9 games, if he is sent back to jr after, I think he will survive and get better offensively.

If Virtanen earns a spot, who gets dealt? Would like to see Higgins moved, maybe Hansen or Kenins?
