Could still use one more true sniper on the wing
- JCSabs06

I'd target Andrew Ladd next offseason if he becomes a free agent

This is what my iPhone looks like after a night of partying...

So, Vrabata- True sniper who can put up some points on eichels wing
and Sbisa- Hulking Defender who is one of the best pure skaters on the blue line, only 25 etc...

for Reinhart- center prospect who is buried behind O'Reilly and Eichel

No. You can keep Sbisa.

Plus O'Reilly will be moved to the wing to make space for Reinhart and Eichel at center. He's just as productive at either position.

My father said he looked awfully slow on his skates to start, but got much better as the game went on

And yet im a "wet blanket" for suggesting he could spend some time in the AHL to work on it.

Any other observations?

He was definitely better the second half of the game. Didn't notice him at all in the 1st half. Probably just a matter of getting into the groove of things. I'd say if he has the same type of issue tomorrow night against Boston, then it's a bit worrisome.

So here we go. Good luck bills, here's hoping this iteration of scrap heap quarterback is the one. Or at least that the running game holds up.

Was actually wondering what the odds are McGinn is here beyond deadline day.

Ideally don't want to pay too much for your bottom 6 but if McGinn has a good year he could get decent money, might be better selling high on him and replacing him with someone already in the system.

- Sabresfan-365

I think that's a very intriguing question to think about. You're right, in the fact that you just can't pay your bottom six too much given how much we'll be paying the top six in a few years, but McGinn is a real solid player. Does Murray want Bailey or Bap to fill in next year for him? Does make sense to get a least one of these guys up with the big club and cash in on McGinn at the deadline.

Legwand, McGinn, Weber, Colvo, Johnson are all UFA's, if they can be moved for anything at all draft pick wise at the deadline then we'll have and absolute bucket load of picks at our draft. Remember, we still have 3 third round picks, 2 fifth round, 2 seventh round. Murray will have to work some magic at turning quantity into quality.

Exactly what i was thinking about but it would at the very least give him the option. Watching Guhle impress last night made me think about that.

The extra talent comes in handy when your cap strapped later on. Makes it easier to move that salary out when you know you've got talent coming through. played a part in getting the Hawks 3 cups.

Here's my observation:

Eichel was invisible in development camp. Not for a period, not for a game. For the whole camp.

He probably needs a whole season in Rochester, right?

Or will you join us in looking at the 90% full cup?

My suggesting Reinhart spend some time in the AHL was regarding his skating, not his performance last night or at development camp. Just because i choose to believe that he might benefit from a little more time in the minors doesn't mean im down on him or his future role with the team. I was team reinhart in 2014 and i still am today.
