There is an optimistic hope but not an expectation. I think a regression would be a disappointment but not a scenario where we demand the heads of the coaches and management. (Most) Flames fans expect the same effort level and a similar points total whether that's good enough remains to be seen. Honestly the McDavid factor puts the Oilers ahead of Calgary or Winnipeg on the pressure front.

Oh (frank) yeah.....but no body said his name in the same sentence as Wayne or Mario, and he isn't in the same class as McDavid. Maybe he can have a rivalry with Nail Yakupov?

I can see him becoming a legitimate Norris candidate in the next few years, he has size and skill and he plays exceptionally well in all 3 zones. Time will tell I suppose.

Oh, and trust me Bruins fans are sore over that trade Anyone that tells you different is lying!

This is the year we find out where he's at. Hopefully he has a good last year at college and can come play a few games for either us (barring a tight playoff race) or Stockton. I doubt Providence repeats without Gillies so we should be able to see him for at least a few pro games. I'm rooting for the kid
