They aren't going to play in that Prison that passes for the Grundy Ice Arena. It's bad enough I have to go there for the boy's games. I'm hoping October 31st is my last trip to that toilet. Honestly, you could get to the Skate Zone NE. At least no one would be trying to steal your shoes brother.

I know you're joking, but many of these kids play 80 junior games + playoffs. Is 3-5 games really that much more risky?

People get so upset over the All-Star Game, which is harmless and a great way for the kids to get to know the players but it's one game. It's not physical. A lot of the players look like they're enjoying their time there. Jake Voracek being a perfect example.

Then you have the Olympics in the middle of every 4th season, that's as competitive as any tournament. If you really want to risk accidental injuries, while throwing your best chance at a Stanley Cup away, the Olympics is the best Tournament to look forward to. John Tavares.

Well, he took his head in a movie...not THE movie, but one of them ("End Game", maybe). But aside from the first one, they were all pretty bad.

I'd stay away from the 2016 World Cup. Honestly, the "Young Guns" and "Mixed Bag of Europe" teams kinda cheapened it, to me.

I just read about all the gimmick stuff you mentioned. The commish just ruined the Canada Cup/World Cup for me..... Its on TV so I can save a couple grand and stayin at home. Its sad- I saw games in Toronto and Hamilton in 91 and the games in Philly in 96, and saw 2 games in Toronto in 2004- those were played right before the lockout started.

Its the end of the world as we know it they didnt just screw up the NHL with all the gimmicks, they did it to the CC/WC
