My hope for Kane is that this whole thing is finally the kick in the ass that he needed. Yes, he's been in trouble before, but in comparison, those indiscretions were nothing. Whether he did anything or not, this is hopefully the wake up call that he desperately needed. It's on him at this point to turn his life around.

Kane is a great player but IMO, it would be a huge contract to take on and may cause problems for us later on. I don't want to see him on the Leafs. |

Whaley did speak with Terry and Kim Pegula before Fred Jackson was cut. Two sources tell me they were surprised w/decision but supported.
That's not really going rogue...all he had to say was many in the football department wanted to keep him but ultimately it is Whaley's call as he is the one who is in charge of the 53 man roster.
He is the new Harrington right now

Which is why I will never buy a newspaper or subscribe to a newspaper's websites again. This shock journalism crap needs to stop. It falls in law what is wrong with this country. It's irresponsible reporting, it causes riots, is becoming race baiters, police hating, etc.
There comes a point where freedom of speech needs a governor or something and no I am not challenging the constitution but my god there needs to be smarter people that say "wait a minute maybe we shouldn't publish this, or say that on TV" |

I've been on the Chicago forums since this all happened last month. Some there have speculated that Chicago has some way to kill that clause because of all of this. I can't see that happening though...
