IMO he belongs over Phil Hansen
Cookie needs to be up there before the conversation starts though

Hansen IMO just watered down the standard to get up on the Wall

- homiedclown

Agreed, but neither should be up there

It's also like saying it's not worth putting up the Eastern/Western Conference champion banner if you do not win the Cup.

I think it's worth being displayed. It's a great feat.

- thatsapickle

I am ok with putting up the conference champion banner (although I don't love it). The President's trophy banner says that you had a great team and then couldn't even make it to the cup. Sorry, it isn't a great feat. Winning in the playoffs is a great feat.

Not going to even pretend to know what they base this one, but here's a list of "value" of Bills players in history:

http://www.pro-football-r...m/teams/buf/career-av.htm

Hansen is 3rd in Sacks, 6th in total tackles, 16th in overall "value"

Jackson is 3rd in Yards, 9th in yards/game, 41st in overall "value"

(Link to how they determine the "value" of players: http://www.sports-referen...ximate-value-methodology/ )

- stashu

moulds, bennet, mckenzie

those should IMO be the next 3 up on the wall

Not too shabby considering who he's had around him all those years. Not sure it's enough for him to be on the Wall though.

So what you're saying is that every NHL team should be ashamed at the fact that they have one of these banners hanging in their arenas?

Your logic is seriously flawed.

EDIT: Every NHL team that's won the President's Trophy.

Bennett not being up there is a bit gross, guy was a staple in the glory days. Moulds was great too, how the 2nd leading receiver isn't honored is messed up.

That chick went to my college. She gave me the red light.

Nowadays, you kids call it "the friendly area'

Another aspect is how the Bills had given up on RBs a lot lately too. Since 2000, only 4 RBs have played in 50 games or more for the Bills - 2 were Jackson and Spiller, the other 2 were Morris and Henry (Henry last played in 2004).

Some teams do, some don't. It doesn't appear that Montreal does while Boston has them listed on a single (small) flag. Either way, I couldn't care less if other teams do.

Anyway... the flutie references are far more painful for me.

The only person that I've seen bring up Flutie today, is you.

Just a quick look at the members of the Wall Of Fame..

Was Kemp really worthy ? And who was Robert James ?

Kelly took the team to 4 super bowls, Kemp actually WON 2 championships while going 3 years in a row.

Regardless, both are before my time, so who knows.

Listening to GR all day. Several callers compared Taylor to Flutie and the hay days that would have been.

Were the results more related to the team around him or the era they played ?

And it was the AFL.

Reading social media and Bills sites today it is kind of funny reading the reactions to the cutting of Fred Jackson. I guess I have become hardened over the years and know players come and players go and it just doesn't faze me anymore. Fred played during a bad period of Bills history.

I just don't get attached to players anymore like I did when I was younger, I'm like Dexter, emotionless with regard to players leaving. It is about putting together the puzzle and if they no longer fit in that puzzle then another player will take his place, others will be strong in the community and life will go on.

1) This is being done by people that are terrible at putting puzzles together

2) How do you enjoy sports in Buffalo then? The Patriots cut big names and big contributors all the time, then go win another Super Bowl. In Buffalo some individual success is all we've ever had.

I avoid WGR for the most part. I had it on for about 10 mins when I ran to the bank during my lunch hour at work. It was right at noon and only heard about 2 calls while it was on.

I think he's more Kordell stewart than anything...and somebody needs to mention that no run-first quarterback, no matter how athletic and dynamic he might have been, has ever won the super bowl
