Perhaps. It's gonna suck to see him wearing anyone else's uniform though.
- HonkFortheGoose

Hopefully, it's an NFC team...not from the East.

I get it. I don't like it, but I understand it.
- HonkFortheGoose

I'm, not a fan of it either, I will still rock my Freddie jersey, but lets face the facts he is 34, the Bills haven't made the playoffs in 16 freaking years. Enough with doing the "popular" thing, I want to win.

If the money is spent elsewhere to make the team better I am all for it.

Stay away from Jennings though. He is 5'8 and is coming off a bad knee injury.

Agreed, it will suck.

But I totally understand the move

This. I remember seeing a quote from the German guy that coached our soccer team. He said that he never understood the American fascination with their aging stars. We all loved Fred, but.... I get it.

Especially the ones that won very little in the grand scheme of things.

If you are the President of something and your are that out of touch with your fanbase/clientele then your organization is a joke. Oh wait, the Bills are a joke.
- Buffalo--Sabres

Or the president has little to no input with team make up/ Roster decisions... as that's typically what the General Manager is in control of.

Russ Brandon is in charge of making sure money flows into the team and keeps sponsors happy... Not keeping Fred Jackson happy.

I want a super bowl and how ever we get that is fine with me, players come and go and it's a shame about Fred but it's business.

This.

It's ok to be sad about it, but at the same time it's part of the business. Time to move on.

There's a part of me that is, and there's a part of me that isn't.

I wouldn't be entirely surprised to see him end up in Cleveland. They've been rumored for a while now to still be looking for help at RB and Pettine has a little bit of familiarity with him from the year he was here. Obviously they didn't work closely being that Pettine was the D coordinator, but he knows what he can do on the field and has seen how he is in the locker room.

Good situation for Fred too as it's just a quick shot down the 90.

I think he would go to a contender before a team like Cleveland.

Indy wouldn't be a bad spot

True. But the team he has to show interest as well. Not sure how many teams are gonna be looking to pick up a 34 year old guy at this point.

I agree with the sentiment, but Jackson was/is a very good player.

He also was an excellent pass blocking back. Something McCoy is not.

I would rather keep him than probably a few that will make the final roster

Frank Gore and Freddie would be a good 1-2 punch for a team like Indy who hasn't had a running game in years.

Imagine Freddie at the Bills home opener in a Colts uniform...ugh

Every time I saw Gore last year he looked to be on his last legs. I think at this point Freddy is a better back.

It's a good thing you're in Orlando, because if you were closer I might try and run you down with my car for saying that right now.

Good point

I still think with his age, contract and with Karlos Williams it was still the right call.

Williams, Dixon and Shady seem like a given. Dixon is out for quite a while and I assumed Brown was going to get cut. Is the #4 back not on the roster yet?

It's Colts....

And it's the thought of it being the Home opener that makes it really upsetting.
